| It is known that Toyota quarterly or even more often makes price increase on their cars. I'm on the market for a Camry LE and was told by the Fitz dealer that 09 Camrys manufactured in September will have $300-500 price increase. Can anybody confirm? | |
Getting an offer for $19400 before tax for 09 Camry LE I4 Auto in Cleveland area. Comes up to around $21K OOD. There are also rumors on price increase from Toyota. PA Fitzmall has 09 LE for $19460 but they don't have color I want and it is 4-5 hours drive. Should I bite or wait for better deal?

Just leased a 09 Camry LE Automatic V4 from Russel Toyota in MD. Paid $2500 (total) today to get it OTD. (includes tax, title, fees, 1st month lease payment - everything) Monthly $214.16 x 35 months Residual/ Lease End Buy Option: 13260 (or close to this) Total Payments in 3 yrs: 9995 36 months lease with 36K total miles. Additional miles I believe GAP insurance is NOT included. It was offered, but I declined it without even checking for its price. Metallic silver color with 50 state emission + Floor Mats pkg ($199) with full tank of gas and new plates installed by the dealer !! It was a nice Toyota car buying experience, after having very bad experiences with Honda dealers located in the Ellicott City and Clarksville, MD. This is our sixth car that we bought/leased in the last 10 years. |

Just picked up a Camry XLE V6 with Navigation, bluetooth, ..... for $350/month x 36 months with total $1500 out of pocket. Color: White Location: New Jersey Credit Score: 675, no negative items. MSRP: 32377 Selling price close to 28700. I don't remember the money factor. Residual was 59%. I only negotiated on monthly payment and out of pocket. the whole process took less than one hour. I didn't provide any documents (paystubs,.....). |

they say a fool only negotiates monthly payment and out of pocket, but not so if Leasing. If your payments only $350 for 36 mos, then obviously you have a lease, and monthly payments and out of pocket are all anyone should care about, except for residual and mileage limits. I think a 58% residual is way too high, should be more like 50-53%, I would think. Did you go to the Leases forums and read up? Leases are tricky to determine a "good" deal from a bad one. They may tell you they don't negotiate price on leases, but that's BS. The lower the price, the lower the lease amount, Watch out for the MF money factor, that is the best point after price to negotiate, it can be all over the place, and residual is negotiable too, as are the miles per year and the cents per mile over that when you turn it in. If you go way over on miles at the lease end, then you're stuck paying out $500 or more. At that point you could offer to buy it from them at a lower price than they offer you, which they do at lease end. Then buy it and go sell it yourself. You will be able to sell it for more than you bought it for, and you avoid paying the lender the 15c a mile or whatever for wear & tear. Usually another way to avoid paying all that extra at the end is to offer to lease another one from them. Btw, the 2009 Camry XLE V6s have $1000 rebate now to get them moving off the lots. That means the purchase price should be around $25K with leather/nav.
