It was reasonable to be concerned about hybrid battery replacement costs in the early days of the first hybrid model, the Prius. Much less so now. Today, there are Prius cars with 200K miles and the batteries are still working OK, although probably at a reduced level. I know of no reason why the TCH should peform different.

All hybrid components are guaranteed for 8yrs/100K miles, including the battery (longer in some states).

The Prius model has been out long enough now for us to know if this was a serious problem. So far, it isn't.

Price Paid for 2009 TCH and Navi Upgrade by nkaizer

About one month ago, I paid 28,112 on a 31197 sticker on a loaded 2009 TCH w/ Navi, roof, leather, cargo net, mats, bumper applique (it had it) at Queensboro Toyota in NYC. Got a lease rate of 2.9% (.00131 money factor). If I had got the car one day earlier I could have paid .00050 money factor (1.2% interest) and $20 less per month, but that was on a 2008 model. I'm paying 383 per month including taxes with 15K per year and I had to come up with $2000 due on delivery. Deal probably still available. Salesman was honest as the day is long (a rarity) and gave me the best numbers the first time out that nobody could match, or even come close.

Love the car and I bought an upgraded DVD (v8.0) from the black market to get around the speed lockout on the Navigation so I can fully use the Navi and phone while driving. I mean, my passenger can use the Navi and phone while I'm driving, right.

What is a good price for a 2009 Camry base, 4 cylinder auto, with no options? I configured a Camry base auto on carsdirect, and I was shocked to see the price over $20,000.

I am in the NYC area. Are there any good dealers in the area you guys recommend?

go to www.fitzmall.com, and see their online no haggle pricing. If you can't get a local dealer to match their price, jump a train (or plane) to DC, take a little vacation if you want, and drive home.

You have about 1400 bucks to work with.

Which Fitzmall dealer do you recommend? The one in DC?

And are the prices posted on Fitzmall's website the final price? I know the prices there look really good, just want to know if there are anymore negotiations that need to be done in person.

Another question I have is, the models I am interested in are all in Maryland. Will the DC dealership transport the cars from Maryland if I buy from the DC office?

The one I'm familiar with is the Toyota dealership in Gaithersburg. Their pricing is what it is, they don't deal any (that I've ever seen or heard). For out of state purchasing, they don't even charge the 99 doc fee. Compared to what I can find down where I'm at (in a not so competitive area)....is I have not been able to beat their prices.

Give them a call to see what they suggest about the car you are looking for, they may even have one coming in or could get you one. They were extremely helpful when I was buying.

Happy hunting.

Camry LE 2009 quote by rajeshd

Hi,

I have received a internet quote as 19730 + 189 doc fee + tax and fees from one of the dealers in Northern NJ for Camry LE 09 (no options). Is this a good deal?
The buyer is willing to negotiate a little further in person. How much should I pull down to?

Please suggest.
