Instead of forging paperwork, what should probably happen is a new contract written up that reduces the cost of the car so the total cost of payments will be the same as what he originally agreed to even after paying the interest on a new loan. Then they should throw something extra in for his time and hassle of coming back and redoing the papers. They could also refinance it at the best terms they can get then just write him a check for the extra interest cost and be done with it. The dealer should eat the cost for their mistake and that's probably still less than what it will cost them if he returns the car and they have to resell it as a used car. Something sounds really fishy about them taking weeks to find this problem. |

Well I liked it...right up until I posted and realized I'd not accounted for the $1K rebate in the amount paid. I tried to correct it by going back but that just created a new entry, leaving the, incorrect one. Anyway, I paid $25,500 ($24,500 after the $1K cash back) for a 2008 Camry Hybrid, all options except NAV. Gregf2 Can you delete the second entry? Thanks (sorry) |

Like it, nice job. |

24,500 for a 2008 TCH is okay...you should have been able to get it for a grand less...(they are running 3K less than MSRP for 2009, 4K less for 2008. Still, enjoy the car - it's a great value for what you get. |
