alpha01 - thanks for your input. I do really like the vehicle shield package for the fact that it makes the car quieter....

for Juanda - no not after sales tax and title tags..the price 19770 + TTL. What do you think of this price with the options I mentioned?

Thanks again for any input.

That sounds kind of high. I agree with alpha, the dealer add ons are worthless. An LE auto 4cyl in the SE is somewhere between 17-17.5K. Even excluding the Southeast $750 rebate I get 18.7K in SE on carsdirect. Follow alpha's advice and use carsdirect to get a feel for your market. You should be able to beat CD's price by a few hundred dollars if you negotiate well.

I would like to buy a 03 Camry LE or SE, but even the lowest offer I got from local dealer is above the invoice. The car has air bag, ABS, invoice - rebate = 18497, my offer is 18870.

Why can't I have a good deal? I am at OK. where should I go for a cheap Camry?

Buy a 04 Camry LE at Atlanta, $1400 lower than invoice.
A guy told me he is going to buy it 2000 lower than invioce.

Buy a same car at Oklahoma city, I need to pay $3000 more.

I want to live at Georgia!

Not sure why, but not including rebates 4 cyl camrys in Ga have been $900 less than invoice. Most of this can be accounted for with the set fee and tda being knocked of the invoice. Why not try to get a cheap flight to Ga and then ship the car back. I would think total cost would be around 1K for that, but if u can save 2-3K its worth it.

I am also looking for 2004 Camry LE with ABS, side curtain + security system upgrade. I am in OK too. Seems to me Toyota dealers here would not sell invoice price. Let me know that you find. I'll give you an update also on what I find.

I live in NC and bought a new 2003 Camry SE 2.4 L manual in Birmingham, AL. It came with ABS, Einki 5-spoke Alum. wheels, and plush mats. All for only $18,900. The car is great but the buying experience at Hoover Toyota was a mini series of incompetence on the part of the dealership. Too long a story for me to tell you guys, but Mother Toyota did hear from me.

Installed a K&N airfilter on it and an earth grounding system. Runs even better now.

I love "my car".

It is not easy for find good deal on camrys in the south. I shopped around in both Louisana and Mississippi for over one month and still could not get a good deal. I finally decided to pay money to save time. My final for LE with side airbag, ABS, etc for $20,105 (everything included). It is a 2003 car. If I go for a 2004, I won't be able to get the 1000 rebate.

My experience is go for an American car in the south.

I am not able to buy a 03 camry below invoice. The camry dealers just don't budge. Also, they want to sell me all kind of trash, such as window etch...
I ended up with a 04 Accord EX, with $100 below the invoice, 1.9 APR. The Honda dealers are much better, and they didn't ask me to buy any other option.

brazilgoal- Excellent- your car sounds great, and so does your deal! What was MSRP, if you dont mind me asking... and which color did you get!

mia9- Time is money, so you probably DID save yourself some money buy negotiating a reasonable price in a shorter time than a phenomenal price over a long time. Im sure you'll be happy with your Camry. Again, if you dont mind me asking, what was MSRP? And which color did you get!!

xifeng- You purchased an outstanding vehicle. The Accord is a tremendous value and a precision machine. Unfortunately, the South/Southeast Toyota region is NOTORIOUS for attempting to rip people off with extra cost, useless items, such underbody coating, rustproofing, etching, etc. Thankfully, dealers in other regions are more reasonable.
