This isn't uncommon for any product that's newly released or redesigned. I'm certain, that given some time, the prices will come down. It may be possible (eventually) to purchase a 2007 Camry SE (4 cyl) for under $20K.

The problem with the SE (4cyl) model in california is that they are only coming in a certain configuration. It has the JBL, moonroof and spoiler pre installed. That adds about $2000 to the price. I got a quote of $22,900 on the Camry SE (4cyl) here in northern california. Trying to do better

Sounds like you can purchase an SE for a good price ... in your area. The problem with the SE (4cyl) model in california is that they are only coming in a certain configuration. Trying to do better My comments were originally directed at this post. Also my comments weren't intended to criticize this person or the quote they obtained. Rather, my intent was simply to point out that this car can possibly be purchased for much less. Of course many factors must be considered, local economy, supply and demand, and what consumers are currently willing to pay for this product.
