Hi: I listed post 2658 too. Forget THEIR invoice, it does not show what they payed, it shows a fictional cost sheet. Cost and amount payed are very different things.

LE-V6 MSRP 23,040......invoice 20505
CF mats 189..........inv 115
AW alum whe 410.........inv 328
leather is dealer installed in a LE series

Looking at the fictional invoice above, I assume you live in SE US.

Your offer:
20,505 x 5% = 21530
+ CF mats 149
+ AW wheels 368
+ .75 of dealer leather cost
+ 635 destination in SE US
+ 634 Admin fee (must include Title, tag, registration
----------------------
Your offer

Your grocer, lawyer, and Walmart all of costs of doing business. They don't make you pay advertising, utilities costs, etc., so don't take dealer supplied invoices with much credibility. Good luck to you.

Well said. This is why I'm wondering where I can get the data for the ACTUAL invoice issued to most dealers. I know it can vary from dealer to dealer, etc... but I need something that has some degree of reliability for the purpose of calculating my initial offer. Since I won't have access to a specific dealer's actual invoice (i.e. the price he paid to Toyota, which may be a few hundred bucks either way) just simply being within a reasonable proximity to the amount that dealer paid is good enough for me.

Edmunds seems to have some reasonably decent data, but since I don't know the basis for it, it's difficult to determine whether it's a good starting point. Likewise, the "TMV Pricing" seems a bit higher than what people on this board actually paid, as well as the proferred "fair price" of 5% over invoice (2% holdback + 3% of the price of the car + TTL)

I don't have a copy of it, but the invoice I was shown reflected a gas charge of $10 (a couple of buck higher than in the past) and the holdback.

Keep in mind, $18,999 seems to be a fairly good deal for a 2007 LE Camry, so they may be selling them as fast as they can get them in. I would suggest telling them to reserve one for you as they come in if you're serious on getting one.

As for me, my wife in the end did not like the 07 Camry look interior wise as the console seemed to make it look longer than what she was comfortable with. Personally I like the Camry, but I'm a little biased, lol. We ended up going with a different manufacturer in the end.

I was offered a price OTD for $21,800. LE automatic no options, just the trunk and floor mats. Is this a good deal?

If it includes state tax, tag, title, registration...you have a nice deal for this time frame of year after the 07's hit the market.

Not knowing your state or it's sales tax percentage, it's hard to know what the dealer will make on your deal...but it's pretty good.

I'm getting to get a 07 Camry tomorrow.
Does dealers accept cash as a down payment (about 15K)?
I didn't have time to make a deposit.
Thanks...
