Hi I live in Norristown Pa. twenty minutes from Philly.I would like to know how people who live near me have been doing on there prices for a 2007 camry SE. I have been emailing offers starting at invoice, and I either get a reply that they can't sell at that price or I don't get any replys at all.The best offer was 1,000 over invoice. Looks like I'll have to wait a couple of months until they start to budge. Thanks Ralph

I just bought a 2007 Camry LE with leather, moon roof, and wheel package in Houston for $22,425 + TTL. I thought I made a decent deal on a very good car. I couldn't decide on the 7 yr/70k mile warranty for $700.00 ($50 deductible). What do you guys think?

I traded a hyundai in for the XLE and I'll admit it was nice to have that added security. But let's face it, Toyota does not have a long standard warranty becuase most consumers don't feel they need it when they buy a Toyota; otherwise, their sales would be down especially with such tough competition. I suppose that the arguement could be made that a first year design (like the 07) might have more probelms than say a design that is 3 years plus, and would therefore warrant the cost. But again, $700 is a nice chunk of money for an extra 40k miles, especially if you finance and end up paying $1,000 for it at the end of the day. My gut feeling says to put the $700 in a money market account earning 4% and don't touch it (unless you have to pay for repairs) until your car has 70k miles on it, I'll bet you have most if not all of the money left over at the end. Just my two cents, hope it helps.

The wife and I went to purchase a Camry today. When the Sales Manager showed me the invoice, it had a distribution fee of $550 and a Southeastern Toyota fee of $635. Silly little old naiieve me thought that the Southeastern Toyota fee was $55 on top of the $580 distribution fee. But apparently, it's not. Am I getting played here? What eaxactly is the Southeastern Regional fee? And is it to be paid on top of the destination fee? |
