Replying to: swiftlives (Apr 03, 2006 10:24 pm) After talking to West Ashley on the phone they seem pretty reasonable compared to Reed, but who really knows. Hope this helps, let me know what you decide, perhaps I can hlep you on getting the best price since I am now an expert after the fact. I'm curious to know which one you thought was sleazy, perhaps they both are. |

I have been pricing a 2007 SE with the 4. There are not many in the area and all are equipped with the JBL upgrade and the moonroof. List $24,709. One dealer said he may be able to get $600 off that price, another was going to sell it for $23,377. I finally tried the Costco plan and the price quoted is $22,977. For you Costco members it may be worth looking into when it comes time to pull the trigger.

West Ashley has always had the rep for being the sleazy Toyota dealership in town. I was actually planning on purchasing from Gene Reed. Thanks for the heads up, though. I'll be even more cynical when I go. I suppose it could be that both of them are skeezy. Sorry you had to go through that. But congrats on your new car. |

Hi All: Does anyone know how holdback works in the SE states regarding holdback and how the distributor between factory and dealers works? I am trying to calculate true cost of invoice and this issue is not clear to me and it is specific to Toyotas and not Hondas where I am experienced at buying new cars. Thanks.
