Great. I'm about to purchase a Toyota from one of the two Toyota dealerships in Charleston, SC. Can you at least tell me whether or not this dealership was West of the Ashley River? (I have a theory, since one has a reputation for being much sleazier than the other, but I could be surprised).

| Just bought a 2006 XLE and love the car. However, I find the seat buckle apparatus on the driver's side to be incredibly uncomfortable. I'm been driving for forty years and have never had a problem with any other seatbelt. I've only driven 200 miles but actually dread driving because of the buckle. Has anyone else had a problem with this and, if so, what did you do? My dealership says "nothing can be done." | |

Hope this helps, let me know what you decide, perhaps I can hlep you on getting the best price since I am now an expert after the fact. I'm curious to know which one you thought was sleazy, perhaps they both are. |

I have been pricing a 2007 SE with the 4. There are not many in the area and all are equipped with the JBL upgrade and the moonroof. List $24,709. One dealer said he may be able to get $600 off that price, another was going to sell it for $23,377. I finally tried the Costco plan and the price quoted is $22,977. For you Costco members it may be worth looking into when it comes time to pull the trigger.

West Ashley has always had the rep for being the sleazy Toyota dealership in town. I was actually planning on purchasing from Gene Reed. Thanks for the heads up, though. I'll be even more cynical when I go. I suppose it could be that both of them are skeezy. Sorry you had to go through that. But congrats on your new car. |
