I also live in N. California.   I can not commenton the pre-paid maintenance plan. Its something I would not purchase. This doesn't mean its good or bad. Great. I'm about to purchase a Toyota from one of the two Toyota dealerships in Charleston, SC. Can you at least tell me whether or not this dealership was West of the Ashley River? Just bought a 2006 XLE and love the car. However, I find the seat buckle apparatus on the driver's side to be incredibly uncomfortable. I'm been driving for forty years and have never had a problem with any other seatbelt. I've only driven 200 miles but actually dread driving because of the buckle. Has anyone else had a problem with this and, if so, what did you do? My dealership says "nothing can be done."

Please see my post (a LTjg's tale).   After talking to West Ashley on the phone they seem pretty reasonable compared to Reed, but who really knows.   Hope this helps, let me know what you decide, perhaps I can hlep you on getting the best price since I am now an expert after the fact.   I'm curious to know which one you thought was sleazy, perhaps they both are.
