just bought one thursday at Harrelson in RocK Hill, SC. MSRP was 20.8 and got for 16.9K plus taxes (300 bucks in SC, tag, etc). Lake Norman quoted me 17.8K for the same car but said they'd come down to get my business. Hope this helps.

Does this sound like a good quote. I was thinking I could do better even with all the dealer fees included.

What do you all think?

Lowest price on Camry LE with AT and side airbags by jimr21713

The lowest I could get a Maryland dealer was $18,500 for a camry LE with AT, side airbags and mats/cargo net. That car had an MSRP of $21,550 and both prices include a freight charge of $540. It did not include state tax (5%) and license fee of $33. Maryland has no cash rebate at this time. The SE United States including North and South Carolina has a $1500 rebate in effect until August 1, 2005. So about $17,000 would be an equilavent (and a good) deal in the carolinas. I'm waiting to see what happens after August 1. Depending on how many camry's they have left will determine if Maryland will give a rebate for the month of August. The dealers probably already know but I can't get any of them to come clean. If Maryland continues to have no rebate and the SE continues to have $1500, I just might travel down to NC to save $1500.

Is Camry Standard sometimes called Camry LE? by summer11

We came down to a dealership tonight. Right after we got there, we told the salesman that we want to buy a Camry LE tonight if price and color are right. He showed us the car and my husband also test drove it. It was our fault that we did not look at the back of the car carefully. That car actually did not have a LE label in the back. We almost signed an agreement for $16,950 until I realized that the MSRP was different from the other LE car we looked.

The salesman told us that Camry Standard is also called LE. Is this true or not?

We got another offer from a different dealership for $17,000 for a Camry LE. Is this a good offer or not? They initially agreed $16,900 but backed out their offer after they noticed that we were serious buyer. I don't care about $100 that much, but feels bad that we have to pay higher than they initially offered us. Is there any strategy that we can use? Thanks for the suggestions!

There are two different models of the Camry that you're talking about. The LE is a different model than the standard. There is about $1,000 difference in the pricing between the two.

This is regarding message 2069.

HI, Anotherday,

Is it possible for you to send me a copy of your sales contract (of course with your peronsal info removed?) One dealer told me your price is impossible and he can beat that price by 100 if I have the sales contract showing that price. I am looking to buy a Camry LE AT this week. I'd appreciate your help if you do. I am in southern Cal as well.

NC is not cheaper, I live in Raleigh and look for a camry LE, AT, side airbag this week. The best quote is $18,900 OTD including 3 % NC tax, $ 398 doc fee, $ 62 tag afer $ 1,500 rebate. Please let me know if someone has better price in RTP area, it is my first time to buy one. Thanks

I live in Oklahoma, about 85 miles from Tulsa, and 30 miles from a Toyota dealer in Joplin, MO and 50-75 miles from two dealers in Kansas. Have been looking to possibly buy an LE with side curtain air bags and 5 pc carpet set and upgraded radio (AMFM wcassette/CD)-pretty minimal options. No firm prices from OK dealers-no cars in Oklahoma with color desired-Kansas dealer quoted $19,925 (1st and only telephone call) for desired color in stock, Missouri dealer quoted same car for $19,499 OTD (also telephone call (although they have serviced old Camry for 16 yrs.)-they would have had to get it from that Kansas dealer. No trade-in of old car to either dealer. Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri until 8-1-05 has incentive on Camry of $1250. for Oklahoma and $750 in both Kansas and Missouri in lieu of special finance %.. Will probably wait now until next month to see if incentive is extended or modified. It seems by reading other posts in this forum, that prices are high here compared to some other states. Camry's seem to be bringing a high selling price vs MSRP even with incentives considered. May just have to look at Honda Accord instead.
