| I live in the south of Florida and wonder if it would help protect the paint or if the undercoating would help make the car quiet inside. | |

hi all... new here i need your opinions. we purchased a 2003 silver camry LE today, and i am embarrassed to say that we really did not do our homework. when i was at the dealer i said, "i hope i don't go home and find that the blue book value is significantly lower" and he said, "oh no", and proceeded to pull up edmunds.com, pushed some buttons and showed me a higher price than what he was charging me. well, when i got home i decided to look around edmunds.com myself and now after reading these posts i think we paid too much for our car. please tell me what you think. we got a certified 2003 with 21,579 for 17,995 plus tax and title. it has all the standards and this price included car and trunk mats. if you need more info let me know. thanks so much for your input. K

| Your price for that part of the country is pretty good. They have a lot of additional fees in Florida. Toyota Guard is an absolute waste of money! Your paint will not have any additional protection over regular wax. It will not help your car ride quieter or gain rust protection from the unnecessary undercoating and the interior protection is no better than a $5.00 can of scotch guard. Save your money! Most cars sold in the southeast come with it anyway and dealers know that most people don't want to pay for it. It's a game and the dealer usually gives it to you for free as part of the deal to make you think you got a great price break. It's really worth about $50 bucks tops. | |
