When did the base MSRP of the 2.5 S change in Cent Fla ? by jstasak

Reply
I noticed some 2.5 S cars on the lots here in Central Florida having a base MSRP of $19,600, while a few have a base MSRP of $19,550. Just wondering when the price was changed so that I have an idea of how long the ones for $19,550 might have been on the lot (and thus, presume the dealer is eager to move them).

Thanks

Price on 2005 Altima 2.5S in Central Fla by jstasak

Got a offer at a local dealership for a 2005 2.5S with Floor Mats and Slash guards (MSRP $20,380). The dealer was offering $17,500 plus Tax/Tag (includes all bogus dealer fees here in Cent Fla and dealer retains all rebates & incentives). Should I jump on it or shop to get it lower ?
New to the Cent Fla area, so not sure of the competition (dont really want to drive across the state to save $150.)

Where are you? The price doesn't sound bad, but some Nissan dealers around here (I'm in Orlando) are bad about following through with a deal after you show up to make the purchase.

I am in Oviedo and have been to Classic and Bill Ray. Talked to Internet Mgr at Universal, Lake. DeLand and Reed (but have not yet gotten to the dealership yet). Any recommendations on which dealerships are the better ones (since I am new to the area). Feel free to e-mail me directly if you dont feel comfortable noting anything on a public forum. Thanks

Let's just ask folks to post dealership names here instead of asking for answers by e-mail. We exist so members can exchange information on the boards. Besides, posting your address publicly can expose you to a lot of spam.

Stick with Bill Ray or DeLand. They seem to be pretty straight-up stores.

You can get a good price at Universal, but you usually have to work pretty hard, from my past experience and that of some friends.

Reed has ridiculous add-ons that make getting a good price almost impossible. I walked out of there over Memorial Day weekend because the sales manager was a jerk of gargantuan proportions.

Classic will give you a good price to bring you into the store, and then disregard it when you arrive. That has happened to one friend and a poster on this board in the past year.

Have anyone heard anything more about this rebate? Most online sites do not reflect this rebate yet.

Actual Holdback percent and rebate by jstasak

For the dealerships I visited here in Cent Fla, I was able to get them to tell me that the current holdback for the Altima is 2.8%. Not sure if that is the standard across different areas or not. Good to know as you are figuring out the "True" dealer costs.

All the dealerships here confirmed the $1,500 rebate. One dealership even told me that, last month, Nissan had a $300 factory-to-dealer incentive on the Altimas. That expired once the $1,500 rebate went into effect.

I to live in Orlando (UCF area) and I went to Reed last night. What a tobockle. Total waste of time, I ended up leaving without even telling the guy good bye. The sales manager was a piece of garbage to me and my wife. I will try Bill Ray.
