Is that 20K out the door, or just the price of the car without anything extra? If that is just the car, not including tax, fees, etc., I think it is too high and you should negotiate. I got a 2010 with convenience and convenience plus and a few extras like tint thrown in last August for 20,200, but 22,000 out the door. That was when the 2010 was still the newest car available.

I've been back and forth with a local dealer in Houston on the purchase price for a 2011 Altima 2.5S with basically no options on it.
The lowest I have been able to get them to go so far is $19750 + TTL. Should I be talking to a different dealer or what? I feel like I should be at least able to get a convenience package additional at that price. Am I expecting too much?

I think the price is high but I don't know about Houston. It seems the price in TX is usually higher than other part of the country.

That is too high, and I am in Dallas. You need to go on the Internet and contact some Internet sales people at other dealerships. You should definitely get a much better price for a base model or get options at that price. You will get better prices from the Internet sales guys than the floor sales guys.

How is this deal? I got a 2.5 Sedan with Premium Audio, Convenience, Convenience Plus, SL Package, kick plates, floor mats. I think MSRP was 28,030.
Paid 23,929 + TTL with 0% int for 60 months. If I took the rebate, it would have been 22,429
