Hi, I am interested in buying the 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S Coupe (Automatic) in the Houston, TX area! The details are below: MSRP $25,380 Invoice $23,643 Offer $21,743 ($400 below invoice plus $1500 dollar rebate!) Do you think I can do better? Also I am leaning towards not taking the rebate! Its $1500 vs. 1.9% APR. I was told if I don't take the special APR rate, the market rate is around 6-7%. Good deal? Decent deal? Bad deal? Any help appreciated! Thanks!

The owners manual makes reference to "Key Number Plate" (for replacement keys). I did not get one. There is one reference on this forum that somewhat implies these may have been discontinued. Are these Key Number Plates still being provided? If so how did you receive them? Handed from dealer? Or are they stored in some place that I may not have looked? I would like to know from other owners prior to asking dealer. Thanks for your help. |

It appears all Florida dealers tack on a Dealer Service Fee - $599.95 - which is "below the line", charged along with TT and Sales Tax. I know they also have this in VA., but I have been quoted $249 there (where my son lives). Planning on purchasing an Altima S CVT with Convenience, Splash and Mats - best price so far is $20,060 plus the DSF of $599! Slightly better price in VA., plus lower fee - but a long ride!

Replying to: stephonyk (Aug 22, 2009 8:11 pm) if you look at the car comparison in the nissan web site and compare the accord coupe and altima coupe everything seems to be standard for the altima and not the accord which is wrong . look at the honda web site to compare it is less of a difference but look at the different trims and its standard features and you can check on that. i live in houston and i have seen many more altima coupes than accord coupes. and again the accord does NOT fall short in options. i think the accord actually has a bit more features. Also build quality is much better on the accord. the body in the accord surprised me because it is so strong compared to our altima and sentra. if you are talking about options any dealership is willing to add whatever you want on the car but again that is not standard. also to keep the warranty valid you have to do oil changes every 3,000 miles i can go double that and do it when it need to be done not just because nissan wants you to. trust me interior material is much more durable and stronger in the accord. all that fancy stuff you talk about you paid for it it wasn't standard . not to mention that honda is one of the most reliable makes in the business. but dont get me wrong nissan is good to so far i have had no issues with the 2 nissans we own. after a lot of thinking i got me the accord coupe and do not regret it a bit. most reviews will have the accord coupe over the altima just do a search on this and you may be able to get more details of why they think its better. i know its you business "stephonyk" but why would you get a lease for 39 months your car warranty is for 36 months. that is why its better to lease for 36 months to not have to buy any warranty like you did its only like 200 for the whole term but still. also you should always aim at not putting anything down or at least not as much as you did $3000 that is way too much. i was told by someone that if you lease a car and crash the very next day you lose that money you put down but if you buy you can al least get most of it back when you file your claim that is why many websites that deal with leases say it is not good to put lots of money down. if you want to talk about fancy features you could of got you an acura tsx or maybe an infinity for that kind of money with good negotiation. now we own both honda and nissan and i like both a lot but in the case of the coupes the accord coupe would be the better choice. oh yeah the thing i liked about the altima was that it seems to accelerate a bit faster

Hi, I bought my car last month My girlfriend liked my car so much and had a 2001 explorer that she traded hers in over the weekend and did the clunker deal. She is getting the Autobahn and the resistall package too. My question is this??? Do any of you have any experience with the Resistall? Should I get it too? Its not cheap and I am tapped and trying to justify speading the money on it. I dont want to be the friend with the worse looking of the 2 cars. What should I do? What would you do? |
