Looking at buying a new 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 s with the Convenience Package ($1120, invoice) with moonroof ($740). MSRP was $25,000. Invoice price was $22,800. The dealership has it for $21,000 closeout price. I got them down to $19,500. But i don't get the $1500.00 rebate because it is a 2008. I also have a cash for clunkers car that no one in their right mind would give more than $700.00 for that will take off another $3500.00. I know this car has already depreciated about $1500.00 since it is an 08. Is $19,500 a decent price without the cash for clunkers? What are people paying for the 09's with similar packages?

Just purchased an 09 Altima Sedan CVT S for $21521 plus fees. Sticker $24,720, invoice $23,021, rebate $1500. Wish I had used the www.truecar.com and www.realcartips.com web sites before making the deal. I feel after researching other deals, mine could have been better. The truecar report shows the average paid for the car I bought is $20807. The lowest paid was $18446 and the highest paid was $23168. This was based on the last 372 vehicles purchased as of July 17. Could have done better / could have done worse. Picking it up tomorrow. Just for peace of mind, I'm taking the reports I printed off to show the dealer the deal wasn't the greatest.
