Went looking for an Altima today in the tri-state. Went to two dealerships and could not get them to come below $19,100 not including tax, title and fees. They informed me that the incentives for June were better and that was the time to buy. Has anyone done better than this price? I not sure what they are talking about, but I'm looking at the numbers with the holiday cash.   The best recent price (based on what people have posted on this forum) was $17777, I personally got $18000. So without that $500 incentive, you should be around $18400 (Sales Price) + TTL.   This is for the 2.5S with CVT.   If you want, enable your email to other members (in the forum preferences) and I'll email you the exact details. I didn't take it because I wanted to negotiate the scrap value for my 93 Jeep.   MSRP $22,505 (Nissan Altima 2.5S 4dr CVT with Splash Guards and Floor Mats (the base S model)) + Service Fee $179 (legally authorized in WI and I negotiated with this fee built into the final price. similar to a 'doc fee' in other states) - "discount" $3341 = $19,343 negotiated price   + $1083.21 = 5.6% sales tax (rebates are taxed in WI, but not in all states) + $113 gov't fees for registration, plate transfer - $6,500 rebates: $4,500 CARS, $1,500 July Customer Cash (instead of finance rate), $500 college grad   = $14039.21 OTD (not including down payment)   Even with the requirement of financing through them, the rate is around 6% for well-qualified customers, so the $1,500 cash is going to be better than the 2.9% finance rate for most people as long as you put some money down. Replying to: dgreb (Jul 09, 2009 5:18 pm) So I entered my price at www.realcartips.com, but was surprised at how few details they collect. Just MSRP, rebates, and cost. Would be nice if they had blanks for other fees, what type of rebates, etc, just for comparison purposes. It is good that they're collecting user-submitted price info, though. Another good site is www.truecar.com, which collects public data about pricing trends and average sale prices. No details about each deal, but good general price guidance.
