Ok kind Altima Coupe owners out there i have narrowed my car search to the coupe. I drove yesterday and liked better than camry and honda. In process of getting 4 quotes from (friendly) dealers in my area, haha SO does anyone have a strategy that works on good negotiating techniques? Is there a percentage off the sticker i can try to shoot for? I read somewhere depending on car you can get 7-22 percent off sticker, thanks for help

Replying to: r000 (Jun 30, 2009 3:55 pm) $1500 factory to consumer rebate $1500 hidden factory to dealer rebate As sales explained to me: Dealer lost additional holdback/more to meet quota for additional sales bonus. 14 other local (DC) dealers wouldn't touch the price. They drove it down to me, and it was nice and painless.

Current deals for the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, plus some Chicago for an Altima 2.5S with Splash Guards and Floor Mats (standard): Current rebates: $1,500 July, $500 until July 8th, $500 College Grad, $4,500 CFC/CARS. $179 state inspection required for all new cars (I hear). Current initial internet offers (not including rebates and inspection, but includes splash guards and floor mats): Rosen (Brown Deer) - $20,320 Boucher Waukesha - $20,131 ($21,067 with Convenience Package) Boucher West Allis - $20,546 Russ Darrow (Brown Deer) - $19,914 M'Lady (Crystal Lake, IL) - $19,431 McGrath (Elgin, IL) - $19,611 I asked several of them if they were participating in the C.A.R.S. program right now and only Russ Darrow is; all the others are waiting until July 24th to start making deals. So for most of them, I won't be able to combine Cash for Clunkers with the $500 July 8th rebate. So I'm planning to offer $19,000 - $1,500 - $500 - $500 - $4,500 = $12,000 plus Tax, Title, Registration and see if I can get that deal from one of the dealers willing to make C.A.R.S. sales this week.
