The original quote I got was for: $20,283 & $21,395 as net price. I countered with $19,000 & $20,500 OTD (cash deal). They came back with what I have originally posted as the OTD price, They apparently didn't understand what OTD means in the 1st quote request when I asked, so I am presuming if you do the math the tax (6.5% here), tag, title, fees is the difference between the original quote and what I had originally posted in the breakdown. However; I'm waiting for the dealer to respond back with that information, once I get it I sure will. I have yet to walk into a dealer and negotiate yet, so maybe I can get 500 - 800 maybe a little more off. I hope!

According to TMW after incentives Car 1 should be $22,800 (plus TTL & Fees); Car 2 should be $23,875 (plus TTL & Fees).

The dealer provided this to me..I don't think they can add correctly b/c not only is the price now $100 more per there breakdown but it doesn't come near the original net price they gave me. Let me know if you see something that I don't. I have asked for an explanation..let's see what they say.

PRICE 22795.00 21683.00
ADMIN CHARGE 699.95 SAME
TAG AND CHARGES 246.50 SAME
TAX 1461.53 1394.81

REBATE (1500) (1500)

TOTAL 23,802.98 22624.26

Ricky, I did not get an itemized "administration" fee in my quote for your first option. So if you add the initial quote of $20,283 + $700 admin= $20,983. then add all the usual fees we need to pay (document, tax, title). If you can get it for $20,983 before the other usual fees that sure beats my quote of $22,200 by $1270. I'll use your info to see if I can beat down my local dealer a little more.

I'm not sure if the dealer is playing ga,es or what. I can't get a straight answer b/c they say the brakdown quote and the original quote they gave me are pennies apart. My mathe shows an $1K difference. Almost as if they are playing some kind of switch and bait game here.

Local dealer has a memory day sale. All Altima has $5500+$500 college grad discount.
2.5 MSRP $20,620
prince: 14620
dealer fee: $499
paint strip & under coating: $200?
+TTL

Look like a crazy price. I am not familiar with Altima. Does the car have any reliability issue?

Just be careful when you go to purchase their "memory" may not be so good and will forget about the $5500 discount. Price seems extrodinarily low, might be a demo.

I just bought an 09 2.5 SL sedan (leather, convenience) with Nismo package (all those skirts and spoilers) for 29.9 Canadian pre-tax and pre-fees (fees were 400 total). Seemed pretty good. The original price for the 2.5 SL was 27,600 before tax but I opted for the Nismo which is a couple grand upgrade but I like how it looks.

I bought via the internet manager at Sherwood Park Nissan (Alberta) - so far the process has been quite pleasant. I take delivery Monday.

Lease of Altima - Beware got ripped off by larrykwiat

First of all let me say that I have been leasing vechicles for 10 years. Previously, I had only leased Honda-Toyota. My last lease was for a 2006 altima. In all my previous leases for my wife, myself and my two kids... About 8-9 in total I have never had to pay an excess fee for wear and tear. Yes the cars get door dings.. But I had never been charged by Honda or Toyota. So,,,, I get my Altima checked out Today and guess what... they want $669 for door dings and a small scratch on the bumper. I have never been charged for the exact same things by Honda or Toyota. It may be the downturn in the auto industry... But what a rip off. And guess what... if you get another Nissan they will wave $500 of any previous excess wear and tear charges... So is this a sales gimick? or what? Either way I wont be held captive by Nissan. Will do my best to return the kick in the ass... Please beware of Nissans leasing policys... go with Toyota or Honda on similar models. I have found the cars are very similar... Will return car next week and post results. If they wave the fees I will buy an new Altima with all the new incentives. I have heard the sales figures for April were terrible on the Altima. But Beware of Nissan Leasing practices..

According to this link, the average Nissan Altima buyer got 13% discount off MSRP. But the most recent transactions show a discount of nearly 20% off MSRP
