Good / Bad Deal? by aeropostel

Just picked up an Altima 2.5S with SL package, splash guards, at dealer cost - 23,675. Was going to put 2000 total down but they allowed me to take off 590 for my remaining 2 lease payments [that was their way of "paying off my lease"]. So total down 1410 included all fees and 1st mo. payment. 36 month lease - 12k miles/year - 297/month including all fees and taxes. Leased in NJ in April - not sure of all of the other leasing factors that go into it - wondering if someone can help me out in seeing if i got a just okay or great deal before I go back to the dealer for another car for my wife.

Thought that since i was getting it at dealer cost that it was the best deal but was uncertain about the money factor / residual percentage fluctuations etc. So need help in determining just how good this deal was

Thanks

Bought new 2.5S 4 cylinder CVT with SL and Connection packages today. Negotiated cost was, in rough terms, high-kbb for my trade (but 700 less than consumer reports est) and 10% off msrp on the new car, counting the 1250 rebate. I like the dealership and the sales manager who is a marathon runner. Mansfield Ohio

May I ask what the total price was? That is about the exact package I am looking for... and Mansfield is about 3 hrs from me.

Purchased at the end of March. Only options I took were mats and splash guards. No navigation. Including the $1250 rebate, I picked it up for just under $25K. Price was given to me over the phone. No financing was needed and I wasn't planning on a trade in. They asked if I was interested when I got to the dealership and I said ok. I had done my homework and knew the trade in value from Edmunds. Their offer was right in the Edmunds range so I traded it in and got the extra value in the sales tax reduction and didn't have the hassle of selling it myself and maybe making a couple of hundred more. Great buying experience here in suburban Philly.
