The MSRP on my car was $32,030 by jfgranger

The invoice on it was $29,100. you can verify that on Edmunds.com or KBB.com. Then as I said, I got another $2000 off due to the Dealer Cash incentive going on. I didn't finace my car, as I was trading in an '03 Avalanche. As it was, I walked out of the Dealership with a nice little check in my pocket.

Where is this dealership? It is definitely not standard Infiniti practice.

Any recent buyers?? by lilelvis
Sep 28, 2004 (7:37 am)
Although I will very likely go with an Accord EX-V6, it seems the I35 has fallen near the same price. A local dealer is advertising I35s with the cold weather package for $25.8. An '04 Accord will likely be around $23K and an '05 around $24.5.

I test drove a Maxima GLE last year and although I wasn't disappointed, I found it no better than the Accord. I don't imagine an I35 will be much different. I prefer the int/ext color combos in the I35. Even though the Accord is not a "luxury" car, it essentially has all the amenities the I35 has, with each having some the other does not. I really don't care about snob appeal or the difference in warranties as both are extremely good vehicles.

Anybody cross-shop an I35 and Accord EX?

Wow. A new I35 (with cold weather package) for $25.8K is $1K below invoice (when also adding in the $2K Dealer cash). The Dealer must be tossing in his holdback to clear them out. Personally I'd jump on that. I love my I35, and yes I did test drive a Honda EX-V6...

The dealership is in Eastern Pennsylvania, USA. I'll be discrete and not mention the exact dealership name.

Obviously they are trying to move these and it probably helped it was the end of the month. We were really stuck in deciding between this and the Accord EX V6. Although the Accord is not generally considered in the same class as the I35, I think they were very competitive. But we like the looks of the I35, it's bigger, and less common.

This was at Passport Nissan in Alexandria, VA. Good buying experience.

Best Sales Experience At Passport Infiniti In VA by 2_da_max
Oct 11, 2004 (11:09 pm)
I'v enever had a sales experience like this: No pressure, no gimmicks and no hassle.
I purchased a new (not a demo)2004 Infiniti I35 with Cold Weather package. I bought it for the unbelievable price of $27,548.00 (tax, tags, destination fee and processing fee included)out the door.
Rosenthal Infiniti wanted $28,000 for the same car(tax+dest fee excluded)

I was offered the 2004 G35 with Premium package for $26.540 (tax and destination fee not included). I was tempted but I decided on the I35 since I need the extra room that the I35 offers. I also testdrove and looked at the Acura TL. The tranny on the TL slipped on me while on the highway. I loved the sound system in the '05 TL. Karen Radley Acura wanted $30,699.00 (tax+dest fee excluded)for the car. Pohanka wanted $29,900.

Sounds like you did as well, or better, than I did at Passport. If I waited a couple days, I could have taken advantage of the 2.9/6yr financing. I guess hindsight is 20/20. We've been really happy so far - at least my wife has, I've hardly been able to drive it. I hope my earlier post helped with your deal, this board asn't been too active price wise.

I didn't realize you can get a G35 that cheap. I hadn't really looked at them, sat in one the day we picked up our I35 and really liked it. However, I think it was a 2005. I don't know what people are saying about cheap interiors in the G, this one was very nice inside - but, again, it may have been a 2005. We still would have got the I35 for the FWD in the winter.

Congratulations.

Thanx..I think I got a good deal too, even though I didn't get the Satellite radio package this car cost me far less than a smaller and less powerfull 2004 Acura TL I testdrove.

The following cars were on my shortlist:
2004 Acura TL, 2005 Subaru Outback sedan, Honda Accord EX V6 with Nav and Sat Radio, 2005 Ford 500, 2004 Infiniti I35. I testdrove all these cars and the '04 I35, the '05 Subaru Outback Sedan, and the '05 Ford 500 were my favorites. Even though the editor talks about lack of horsepower in the Ford 500, I didn't really notice any of it during my testdrive. The car was pretty powerfull with the 3.0 L Duratech engine. The Subaru felt and handled like a BMW 530. The I35 became my best pick because it was more car for the money and since it was FWD it would most likely handle the snow better than a RWD G35.

You might still be able to get the 2004 G35 with Premium Package for that cheap price. They had a bunch of them in stock two weeks ago. I dunno about now. I was under the impression that they're trying to move their old stock and make space for the 2005 models.
Rosenthal had offered me a 2004 G35x (AWD) for around $30K. That's just the base model for the G35x
