I have 2003 Sprinter. Lately have been experiencing low battery fail to start after only 1 week or so. (this is a recreational van for use so not driven every day.) After charging starts fine. Charging seems to be complete, as charger amperage settles to almost zero. I have discovered that even with switch off there is approximately 1.5 amp draw on the battery. It is mostly isolated to 1 of the fused circuits connected to the + battery terminal, but I can't find the source of the load because of my socond question. Has anyone experienced this? Perhaps I just need a new battery.   Second question. I purchased a CD which contains the factory service manual. I can not find a complete wiring diagram on this, just small sections scattered about. Does anyone know of a complete wiring diagram available for download.   Thanks! Replying to: rstms (Nov 28, 2006 4:36 am) I have a 2004 Sprinter recreational van that in the last 6 months has developed the same problem. There are two batteries for the rv and one for the motor. All three batteries will go down after about a week to two weeks not being used. There is a battery turn off switch for the rv side. When I check the solenoid that works with this switch it shows the voltage goes to zero volts. If you come upon a answer please post it. Where did you find the CD factory manual? Replying to: rstms (Nov 28, 2006 4:36 am) I think I have the same CD, purchased from Ebay. The wiring diagrams are complete, just VERY difficult to follow. If someone could come up with a wiring diagram that is like the ones in the Hayes or Chilton repair books, it would be helpfull. The shop manual on CD (2003) doesn't even tell you the location of the fuse blocks or compenents; just "fuse block 2" or another name, it's up to you to deduce which componet is which.

Replying to: rstms (Dec 01, 2006 10:50 am) Yes. Even with the disconnect switch turned off all three batteries will discharge. I have checked using a volt meter while someone turns the disconnect switch off and on. With it on I will read 12 volts across the solenoid and with it off it will go to zero volts.
