KL carroll
I'd sugest you looked at why the seal failed and the reason for the leakage on the turbo component at the exhaust point, read back on some of the scripts oils and filters and you will start to understand why they fail.
Or hit the Google site and key this in ,How does a Turbo work,
Read it carefully, Oil and lubricants.
DCX will not send out any bulletin apart from the warnings they all ready have sent to the dealers, it's a fuel related Issue not a DCX mechanical failure, the problem your having is exclusive to the USA only.
Unfortunatly Plastic and over heating is not a good factor
I admit there should be a metal impeller fan which can be sourced as an aftermarket item in The US and Europe
So far there has been over one hundred failures on this part, But I emphasize it's been fuel or owner operator not servicing or complying to the correct fuel and oil

You can find a maintenance schedule on www.sprinterparts.net. The website has alot of good info. You can also order filters and any other parts you need. Its a good idea to use factory filters. They are cheap, air filter $10.77, oil filter $9.69, fuel filter $25.68. The oil you want to put in it is mobile one synthetic 0w- 40. Thats not a type-0 0w-40. Any more questions please email me.

SPRINTER INFO-RESET ASSYST by srt4guidice

I AM A SPRINTER TECHNICIAN FROM SC, JUST BROWSING THROUGH SOME OF THE MESSAGES AND THOUGHT I WOULD LEAVE SOME INFO.
ENGINE TAKES 9.5QTS OF 10W30 OR 15W40 SYNTHETIC OIL-REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE OIL FILTER FIRST BECAUSE ABOUT A 1/2 QUART WILL DRAIN INTO THE CRANKCASE WHEN THE OIL FILTER IS LOOSENED.
THE ASSYST COMPUTER RESETS IN 10K MILE INTERVALS FROM WHEREVER THE ODOMETER IS- TO RESET ASSYST: TURN KEY TO RUN POSITION, PRESS (MI) BUTTON (TWICE) UNTIL THE SERVICE MILAGE IS SHOWN, THEN THE NEXT STEP MUST BE PERFORMED WITHIN 5 SECONDS- TURN KEY TO OFF POSITION, PRESS AND HOLD (MI) WHILE TURNING KEY TO RUN POSITION-HOLD FOR TEN SECONDS OR UNTIL IT RESETS.
NOTE: THE DIPSTICK WILL ALWAYS READ LOW UNLESS THE ENGINE IS HOT-

I wrote Dodge for 07 info and I've pasted their reply. I'm also interested to know if Dodge will make a Sprinter passenger model that's geared toward families: DVD, Stereo/CD, GPS, Rear camera, nice seats (possible leather), etc... Johnny

We are pleased to read of your interest in the 2007 Dodge Sprinter. This vehicle is expected to arrive in dealerships in the fall of 2006. At this time, DaimlerChrysler has not officially announced the pricing and full product specifications for the 2007 Dodge Sprinter models. More information should become available to us as well as being posted on the Dodge website closer to the official release date of the 2007 models. We encourage you to stay in contact with Dodge.com and your local Dodge dealership as further information becomes available.

Dealer told me that they are still importing the 2007's from Germany, just like all the past sprinters; they are only putting them back together in the U.S.

The process is: they build them in Germany, partially disassemble them, ship them to the U.S., reassemble them. They get around some tarifs and taxes that way because they are importing parts, not vehicles.

Bsperty... Please don't scream. The system don't tell me to replace the oil so often, I just did it because the break in period. The chevron delo 400 is the best oil for the sprinter it run very smooth and because is so cheep I will replace it every 4 to 5k miles. If you like syn go for it it will cost no harm to the engine, but for me delo 400 is been proven to be the best....
