Should be getting a sprinter 140 2500 delivered next week. Five month wait.
What will be the dealers and MB's recommendations for fuel. Truckers I have been told will add automatic transmision oil to their deisel for added lube. Anyone doing this for ultra low sulfur fuel?
seems like MB has an incentive to get this fuel changeover right, what with a 100,000 mile warrantee.
Just adding fuel to the discussion. paul

nescosmo Your welcome.
Remember that diesel is the stepping stone for alternative fuel technology for the future, Maufactures and refineries have been slow to pickup on it in comparison to other developed nations Time will tell in the meantime have a fantastic Day

AT fluid in the diesel?

Sounds like a great way too increase the toxocity of your emissions, which you and everybody behind you will then breath.

I would not worry about the longevity of a Merc Diesel.

Read the specifications of both oil and upper cylinder products products combined, and see how they cancel each other out therfore the emissions are less at the end exhaust stream of the catalitic trap 0.28 for 2006

Northener... you've got to be careful with the AT oil. I used to have a ford pickup truck and to clean the gas I used to put a one quart of AT to a tank (35 gal I think)let me tell you the AT will clean the wall and the lines of the system so much that I use to replace the fuel filter twice and still junk will come out of it. so be prepare for the outcome... good luck.
