sprinters are amazing by sprinterowner1

i have to be the one to say that this has to be one of the best van i have ever owned. i previously owned a ford e-350. this car blows it away. the steering ratio is cut in half and i get 450 miles per gallon carrying a full load 24/7. The engine has more than enough power and i tow things all the time becuase i am in the construction buisness. it's practically maintinance free ( i put on over 250 miles a day)and so efficient. Quiet, stylish and easy to own AND IT HAS A AUTOMATIC-MANUAL BENZ TRANSMISSION, what more can u ask for?! i suggest you find a local dealer and get info. if you have any questions, please ask me.
PS. the dodge "sprinters" are the same EXACT THING AS A FREIGHTLINER SPRINTER.. THE BADGEING IS CHANGED AND DIFF COLORS....I THINK THE SPRINTER IS SO MUCH NICE AND MORE DURABLE!
pps. TO HunterMan: there are a million configurations, i had to spend a month choosing what i wanted. i have a medium wheel base, and a jumper seat in the back for when i have to take the kids with me. Its great on fuel...and QUIET

Do you really!: "i get 450 miles per *gallon* carrying a full load 24/7. "

How about 450 miles per tank of fuel? Otherwise, I want one too!

Does anyone have any further news regarding the new factory to build the Sprinter? I recently heard of some problems Dodge was having to get a factory built in Canada - plans fell through. I was wondering if that was the planned site for these Sprinters or not. Is there one in the works for USA? I'm so excited about these new vans and can hardly wait to see them!

UPS bought the Sprinter by crkeehn

In the past two days, I have seen two "Brown" sprinters on the road. It took a WAG to identify it as UPS has stripped all identifying marks from the van other than the UPS markings. Even the nameplate in the grill has been replaced by a plain brown plate.

I might mention that the UPS regional facility is just down the road from us so we see lots of UPS trucks around here.

I am a Electrical Contractor and do service work. I also own a Ford E350 extended van (1989)the BEAST, and get 8 mpg. Can't wait to get rid of. I live in Florida (no hills) I carry 2-2,500 pounds of material with shelving units. Including 10 foot lengths of pipe. The total weight of the BEAST is at 7,200 pounds. Everyone at chevy and GMC tells me to get the 6.0 motor 3/4 ton ext.van. They say the Sprinter will not do the work I need it to do. I also tow a 2,800 pound 19' boat (every weekend) or when the fish are biting! I need a vechile really soon! Other than spending $9,000 more for the Sprinter (I know you get what you pay for)I test drove a Sprinter (No load) it was awesome! (Quiet, turning radius real sharp) I really value your comments and waiting your reply. Thank You! "dmartel"

I started a thread about towing with a Sprinter over a year ago on the Casita Club forum:

I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has considered a Sprinter to tow a 2500 pound trailer?

I am looking at buying a passenger version of the Sprinter Van for my large family (7 children). I want to get some feedback from those who have owned and currently have a Sprinter. Your feedback is appreciated.

Does anyone know if there are plans to sell this van in Canada in the passenger version? I sent an email to DC's Canadian office but they basically told me they couldn't let me know because of a variety of factors including industry competition. Gotta love customer, well potential customer, service.
