Replying to: wooddorker (May 12, 2005 6:09 am) They would have had to order my truck since I don't fit the demographics of my area. I was going to purchase from the Internet dealer because they were closer to home, but cancelled my order to the paint problems Toyota is having and they low-balled me on my trade-in. I'm waiting for 2006, then I will go Internet shopping. |

I recently purchased a Tacoma from Toyota of Ft Worth. Their price was the best I found locally and their people made the purchasing process the best I have ever experienced. The truck is wonderful!! I assumed, in error, that some type of gas cap & tailgate security would have been standard equipment or at least available as an option from the Toyota parts department. Can anyone recommend a quality aftermarket locking gas cap that and tailgate lock for this truck?

I live in the San Antonio area and am looking for a Tacoma Pre-runner, doublecab. The only options I must have are stability control and side curtain airbags. One lot I went to did not have a single vehicle with the side curtain air bags. Is this not available in Texas? I am willing to travel anywhere in the state, or nearby states, if necessary. Any suggestions?

posted on the other forum and realized this was the right place to post DC/4X4/V6/Super White options FE/EJ/GY/VE/OG/RL sticker was 31,050 and I paid 28,409 without tax and title. I think that it was a good price and hope it helps others in buying |

I posted this message on the 2005 Tacoma board, probably should have posted here to begin with though. After dealing with many dealers in person and online, I finally made up my mind to go through with purchasing this vehicle. The one I'm looking at will have to be located and could take 2-3 weeks or possibly longer for delivery. I used the internet email approach to settle at a good price, or so I think. Silver Streak Mica 2005 DC, V6 Automatic, 4x4 TRD-Offroad w/ tow. Original price: $29,589 Sale price: $26,500 I'm curious to see how long it will actually take to find this specific model in the SE region. I'll post on any updates I receive from the dealership.
