Can someone tell me which type of THEFTLOCK was used in 2001+ Auroras? Classics have the type that uses a 3-1/2 digit code that can be used to secure the radio. I suspect the newer ones use the type that is specific to the vehicle's VIN. Can anyone verify or not? The reason for my question is that I want to install a 2001+ Aurora radio in my 1997. There's a high probability that this swap will not work, but I'm going to give it a try. My reason for wanting the newer radio is the RDS (radio data service) feature. I have looked into after-market units, but none that I have found will maintain functionality of the steering wheel controls without a clunky add-on that works through the after-market unit's remote control port. I just acquired a 1996 Black Aurora with 210,000kms for almost nothing. It was my wife's bosses car and he wanted to get rid of it. I love it, and am really looking forward to fixing it up over the winter. I plan on doing the K&N Airbox mods right away. Thanks for posting the instructions. However, I've already replaced the plugs, and stupidly bought the most expensive ones I could (Bosch Platinum 4s) before I read in this forum that you recommend staying with Delco. I'm getting some hesitation when I accelerate now. Should I switch the plugs back to new Delcos? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers

| i would like to know some quick tricks and some mods i can do to my aurora. id like to take the front end of the 2002 and put it on my 98. that would look nice but money is an issue cause not everyone has money like bill gates. i have like no money for expensive mods. also my mom may want it back and it may need to be sold some day. | |

I have a 99 That I have a couple of problems with, Is there a Way to override the Governor, such as a new computer? once this is done does anyone know the top speed of these things? Also I read all these posts about Corsa Exhuast yet when I hit their website I see nothing about Olds, where can I get my hands on this? Also do you have to do the K&N airbox yourself or is it sold as a kit? Thanks Mark
