I have a good car some little issues so far. like the temp control on the passenger side otherwise the car is like new. loaded every option but the winter warmer. I'm alway in need of advice currently I'm looking to change ant- freeze not power flush. just drain the zerex and add the dex-cool. Still looking for the radiator petcock. which I assume is uner that plastic cover. and put in a new battery if I can firgure out the right one. Phil |

| I have a 2002 Aurora and have a whine coming through the speakers even when radio off. We have checked several grounds and the amp. When amp unplugged sound goes away but that also kills the speakers. I read some comments that it maybe caused by bad plug wires. These aurora's (2001-2003) do not have wires only the coils. Could this be the problem and has anyone else found a solution ?? Also some of the small light bulbs have burnt out in heated seat switch, steering wheel volume switch. Can the bulbs be replaced or does the whole switch need to be changed?? | |

Hello everyone hows it going. Well I just bought my first car about 3 months ago and it was a 95 olds aurora v8. Yes my car is kind of old but it has the look, feel , and technology of a brand new car. When I first saw my baby I fell in love with her. Right now I am in the possess of giving her a little face lift and I am open to suggestions. Yes I have had a couple of issues with her but she is an older car and she has a few little tweaks but shes still my baby. I was excited to find that so many ppl love there auroras and being a new owner i consider myself lucky to have found a group that knows so much about my newborn. Well I do look forward to receiving different idea for her face lift and other repair responses from any and all.

What I did to mine that I have not seen on any Aurora's is put a spoiler on her. That made her look so sporty and cool. I also put some decals on the hood. Some cool skulls. That made her look "bad!!!". I hope that is some ideas for ya. But the spoiler really does something. Good luck fellow Aurorian!! |

I have a 2001 Aurora. I have been having a problem with the interior lights circuit blowing the 10 amp fuss under the back seat. Finally have gotten some relief by putting a ciruit breaker in place of the fuss. The light have not gone out since. The fuss used to blow every once in a while. Dealer and mechanic tried looking for a shorted wire but never have found anything. Any suggestions? TennBob |

Thanks to all of you for the great advice and tips on the repairs for the Auroras. My '98 Aurora is starting to be very expensive to own without a repair warranty (8 new injectors, Disk brake rotor problems, new radiator and now A/C problems). My mechanic said that I have a minute leak in the A/C evaporator on my '98 Olds Aurora. Replacement of the evaporator and dryer will cost $700 with 8 hours labor for removal and replacement of the dash. The interior of the car and the dash are in mint condition and I am concerned that the mechanic (non-GM) will break or damage the dash and or parts inside of the dash. How do I remove/replace the dash to save time on the labor costs for this repair? |
