yes the car has 34000 miles left on the warranty,5year or 60000 miles warranty on hyundai sonata, yes they are selling the car 4000 dollars below the kbb value and 2000 dollars below edmunds value,so am scared if there is any hidden problem with the car,we just test drove on the local road but i had a bad experience previously when buying a used toyota corolla.i live in detroit michigan so am scared whether the party is cheating me or what kind of checks can I do before buying a used Hyundai Sonata? is the overall performace of 2009 hyundai Sonata good?

I guess it could be the economy of that area. I would have it checked out by a mechanic, it would probably we around $100. That would give the piece of mind your want. The Sonata should be a dependable car, if that is what your referring to as performance. It has 175hp and should get low 30-34 mpg on highway driving.

You should have no problems maintenance wise on that vehicle. Check and make sure they had the maintenance done regularly. I would suggest taking it to local Hyundai dealer to have inspected by service dept, should charge $75-100 to check. Good luck

I kind of had the same issue prior to buying my 2012 SE sonata. Most of the dealerships pretty much wanted msrp and low balled my trade in. I then went to the dealership where I had bought my trade in (Santa FE) and they gave me a deal at least $3500 less than any other dealer. I am not sure how they did it (end of the month/repeat customer), but I am glad they did. That and the warranty kept me with Hyundai.

If choosing between end of August or Labor Day weekend, which would be a better time to make a deal?

I would wait for Labor Day incentives

Invoice on truecar is $27,300. You said the dealership offered you $800 below invoice which would put you at $26,500. How did you get down to $25,000?

Hi, I'm planning to buy Sonata Limited. The best offer I got is $25264, w/o navigation same as truecar price. Is it a good price? Did anyone get better price than that? not a hyundai owner.

I am a recent nursing graduate and looking to buy a 2012 Sonata GLS. I have read edmunds and followed their tips. I have quotes from dealers and need help with my decision. What would be best price a 2012 Sonata GLS (automatic) with the popular package. What is the basic accessories needed? I read people got floor mats, mud guards, ipod cable and TTL? This would be my first new car that I bought and I always want to research and make the best of decisions. My first car is a Mitsibushi Mirage 2000 that was given to me by a relative so now that I am on my own, working as nurse, I want something nice and affordable yet fuel efficient.
So far quotes are
1. GLS with Pop package 22,400 + Doc fee 389 + 37 title + tax 1597.82 = $24,423.82 (This is out of my state)
2. GLS with Pop package 22,644 + Doc fee 599 + 22 title + tax 1394.58 = $24,659.68.
3. GLS with Pop package 22,470 + Doc fee 399.99 + 39 (DMV)+ 3 GMV + tax 1600.90 = $24,512. ( This will give me 400 graduate incentive)
4. GLS with Pop package 21655 + Doc fee 599 + 22 title + tax 1335.24= $23,611.24
