Like most vehicles, the Sonata sunroof drops the headliner down roughly a couple of inches. It's most noticeable in the Sonata from the back seat. When sitting in the back seat and looking forward, you can see a noticeable drop in the headliner just in front of your face that continues all the way forward.

But even after the discounts they are 800 to 1000 under invoice.
How do they make money doing this?

I would like you to provide me website, phone no., address for this dealer. So that I can make a better deal with local dealer or atleast buy from your dealer. I almost bought it today for $21,000.00 but held off. I test drove LX it's excellent.
Your immediate response would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Market Adjustment by bgle

On a trip from SC to Tulsa OK a three weeks ago, a few 06 Sonata's passed us and my wife & I liked the looks so while in Tulsa I visited the dealer. All their Sonata's had an add on of $ 1,500.00 for "Market Adjustment. On my return to Columbia, SC I visited the local dealer and there it is again. This time it was $2,000.00 Market adjustment, plus paint treatment, fabric treatment, Window tint and Wheel locks (just under $1,000.00).
First I will never pay a "Market Adjustment" and you are now in the Cam/Cord price range with similar equipment. This was really a turn off.

Has anyone run into this "Market Adjustment"? Thanks

If you're ready to buy, tel them what they can do with their market adjustments and other add-ons. You can do much better elsewhere, even if it means buying outside your local area.

You can't get that information in our forums... Only the dealership name, city and state... This is clearly stated at the bottom of every page...

You may include the dealership name, city and state in your post. Please do not post names of salespeople, telephone numbers, email addresses, or other contact information.

What you guys don't understand is that at all the major dealerships across the country that do good internet business offer crazy prices on cars. Fitzgerald gets some much press cause of their advertising. There is a place in Pittsburgh that does the same prices as they do. Its all about units, when selling Hyundais.

As much research as everybody does, people should know that their isn't much mark up on these cars because of their tremendous warranty. So offering a low ball offer is usally countered with the price you are looking for.

You really need to consider checking out other Hyundai dealer websites like #1 Cochran in Pittsburgh. They will honor any written quote.

'06 Sonata - which to buy? by michaell

Was looking at Hyundai's with my wife and daughter tonight ... looking for a car for daughter. Drove the following:

'05 Elantra GT w/ auto & pkg 8 (sunroof + ABS/TC)
'05 Tucson GLS V6 AWD
'06 Sonata GL 2.4 w/ auto

Daughter liked the Sonata best .. however, salesman told me that there is are very few Sonata 4 cylinders due to a strike in Korea. Any truth to that?

They also had a GLS V6 w/ no options with an $18,8xx tag hanging from the mirror .. in looking at Edmunds TMV (which, BTW, doesn't show the extra $500 rebate), it seems available for $18,548 ($1000 rebate + $1000 HMFC incentive).

Hard to believe that I'm considering a 235HP car for my 17 year old, but its only $1400 more than the 4 banger.

Thoughts?
