Sounds like your experiences have been different, but the dealers I have purchased vehicles from have certainly given me special treatment, with freebies and car loaners when they didn't have too. They've worked hard to make me a repeat buyer. Dealer service is obviously going to vary depending on the management and workers, but in talking with the establishments I've patronized, they readily admit to providing extra service for people who buy vehicles from them. Anyway, that's beside the point. My main argument was that Zen2 will still be serviced by the local dealers no matter where the car is purchased from, and Fitz has a good reputation for easy purchases at extremely aggressive rates.

Replying to: tyguy (Oct 26, 2005 8:50 am) I'm already enjoying the Sonata. It's a great car...Hyundai really hit the nail on this one. As for the extra in the rebate, I called my dealership to see if there is anything they could do for this. Hopefully, they can compensate me in some way for this change, but I'm not going to be holding breath. |

| I just looked at their website and their prices for a base LX (no sunroof & no 6 disc changer) is $18,792 and for the Pkg. 3 LX is $20,070! That is about $5K off MSRP. I realize there are rebates out there, but these discounts are pretty unbelievable. What do you all think is going on?? Since they have been introduced, I've maybe seen a half dozen or so on the road. Is the car not selling well? At these prices, who cares about resale value? Is Hyundai concerned that the Sonata is not the big hit it was hoping for? I don't understand since, according to the NHTSA, it's one of safest cars on the road today. Thoughts please. Thanks! | |
