$14,900 is too low... I don't think there was anywhere near that much you could take it down.

You might be able to get a couple hundred off, maybe as low as $15,300 or you could get them to ADD something small (cargo net and IPOD cable or MAYBE as expensive as the BlueConnect system? My dealer threw in the IPOD cable without us even negotiating it into the price... we don't have an IPOD, though, as my wife prefers SANSA players; for those just a standard USB cable is good enough) . You probably can't do all of those, or get both a reduction further AND those.

So yeah, you're close to rock bottom.

ipod cable isnt much, you still paying the extra amount

and just wondering, as people dont really answer, am the dealers in your area not advertising prices like 10k or 9k?, i've seen ads with gls automatic with 10/100k or 20/200k warranties for 12k-14k like 2 months ago, nowadays i'm seeing gls auto fully loaded for 9k-10k

Are these ads just to lure people into dealers and then told that the cars sold?
i found this also, the ads with really low prices are always in newspaper,

but heres hyundai sonata 2009 for 14k

9-10K is not going to happen. I would think its a bait and switch but I do see 14-15K

Alloys are easy to add, either by your Hyundai dealer or (probably less $$) aftermarket.

Yes I have saw some unusual low ads. Always with an * posted beside the price all rebated included in price $3000 basic rebate, recent college grad, current military, current Hyundai owner then with the statement at the bottom NOT ALL customes will receive the car at the posted price. All the rebates added up total about $5,500. I only qualify for the $3,000 rebate and the lowest I have been quoted on a 2009 V6 Limited is $19,286. Still not worth it, I'm waiting for them to go lower much lower.

Unfortunately, Hyundais still depreciate faster than most comparable Asian models. The Sonata is a great car, but don't buy one unless you plan to keep it several years. Chances are very good that you'll have negative equity for the first few years.....

A V6 Limited at $19,286 is an incredible buy (as in, where is that???) if it's before rebates... if it's after rebates, it's still a decent deal, unless it's every rebate under the sun (in which case, it's $900-$1400 more than that in reality for most folks).

Update-
I ended up buying the car at Courtesy Hyundai in Pawtucket, RI. Low hassle and no "gotcha" BS.
$15, 500 plus $95 doc and title fees for a TOTAL of:
$15,595

State taxes and fees (which the dealer has no control over and makes no profit on) are-sales tax of $1085 and title/registration fees of $90.

OTD of $16,670.
Keep in mind the sales tax is outrageous at 7% and there is no way around it even if you buy out of state.

I'm waiting to the late fall to pick up a used 2009 Limited with about 10 to 12K miles on it.....will save about 6 grand and with the warranty at 60k miles for a used car I don't think I can go wrong.
