Replying to: mikebzt (Mar 31, 2009 6:20 pm) I just left them buying a Sonata GLS Automatic. It was 14400 with the rebates and such. With Tax and tags it was a few bucks under $16000. I fought to get them to throw in the IPOD wire and after some work, they did. I think I did good. Thanks ALL!

Replying to: tchescat2000 (Apr 04, 2009 1:45 pm) To clarify: was this a new 2009 (not a demo)? And was it a straight deal with no trade-in allowance? Did your car include Opt. Pkg 2? I assume it included $1500 loyalty and $750 HMFC rabate, which is sadly not available in April. Thanks for any additional info you can provide.

I am scheduled to pick up a Sonata tomorrow but I am having some doubts about my deal. Here is what I am getting (invoice prices): STD Sonata GLS: 19,056$ Popular equipment package: 592$ Carpeted floor mats: 76$ Mudguards: 68$ Cargo net:41$ iPod cable: 24$ Cargo tray:76$ Advertising: 250$ Delivery charge: 695$ Total: 20,878 The dealer gave me the usual 3500$ rebates and a bit more, at 17,100$. I would like to check this price with you, here on the forum. I did not notice the advertising fee at first. When I got home I have seen it and I thought that I should have asked the dealer to take it off. I have not signed anything yet, so I still can ask to remove that tomorrow. What do you think? In addition to taxes, I also have to pay 298$ documents fee and 86$ new plates fee. I am in MA.

Replying to: coskat (Apr 06, 2009 5:36 pm) Here is what I got: Elantra GLS, automatic, slate blue, floor mats, mudguards, cargo net, and iPod cable. All in all, OTD, it was 17,700$. This included registration and all. I probably could have done a bit better, but I don't really know. At the end, I am happy with the price anyway.
