The first thing you got to do is check the prices on line at Fairfax Hyundai-He list all his stock and what he wants- the prices are nothing like your local dealer wants. You should then call them and find out what the fee-doc, registration etc are. Then- you go to the local dealer and work from there. You may not get the same price from the local dealer but at least you have a idea of where you want to be. Right now the local dealer have a $2000. rebate + $1000. cash back and at least another $1000. you can negotiate on the GLS 4 AT-msrp 21445 WITH 02 pop. option group bringing it down to 17445. Fairfax Hyundai wants approx. 15200. for the same car not including tax and fees. Ergo- there still room to bargain. Fairfax Hyundai is located in Va.

the fairfax price does not include destination charge and a processing fee so add 695.00 and 389.00-so add 1084.00 to the 15,ish-so you are dealing with a price of about 16,300 or 16,4ish not including the tax.

Unfortunately for me when I contacted Advantage by email, they would not give me anywhere near the $16,200 you got.Did you get the extra rebates or finance thru them?

No, we did not pay $16,150. Our purchase was for a new '07 Sonata SE V-6 in Feb '07. Rebates & dealer discount vary monthly.

(We did pay $16,650 plus $189 doc fee + ttl and included floor mats, but that was a different time and a different trim level.)

The present deal applies to any trim level with or without options. Their deals are available from the first to the last day of the month. Sometimes their website only shows the prices being in effect for the first two weeks of a month--it's just a matter of not updating the site often. New deals for a new month usually appear on the 3rd or 4th of the new month.

that's disturbing . I have been dealing with the customer care manager directly. the sales staff weren't willing to go anywhere near my offer and it's been a couple of weeks of "back and forth" and a final "take it or leave it".
i am planning on being there tomorrow to make the deal. if they try to reneg, then I will walk out.
if you drop me a private email, i will let you know off-board how it progresses and the names of the people i've been talking to.

i've been weighing the gls w/ pop package vs the se vs the honda accord lx-p.

for the extra money, the only appealing features of the se are the wheels... not enough to pay the extra $$$$.

in an even cost world, I would take the accord lx-p in a flash, but a $4000 difference (if hyundai honors their quote) pushes the scale way over to hyundai.
