Purchased in New Hampshire: Pearl White, 2009 Limited V6, $22700 including doc. fee. Buying process was easy. Only pain was to wait couple of days for the delivery as dealer did not have any Pearl White in stock. The dealer; Nashua Hyundai was very nice and treated us very well. They gave us a loaner for two days while we waited for the car to arrive. There were better offers but not by much. We decided to go local as they treated us well. The car is really nice. The interior is well designed and V6 is definitely worth it. I am on my first tank of gas and on highway at 65mph, I see 31mpg. |

Looking for a 2009 Sonata V6, sunroof, alloy wheels in Texas. What options did the $22700 you paid include? Were taxes included in this price? Is there one color that sells for less than other colors? thanks for any help.

Replying to: jfritsch (May 14, 2008 6:45 am) I just bought a new 2008 Sonata 4cyl loaded here in Canada for $7k below original MSRP. The same model seems to be selling in the US for a further $6k less. I previously paid $40 for the wholesale cost summary info but all it really told me was that the invoice/msrp markup was 8%. No info on dealer incentive or holdback.

I am 60 years old, single female and this is my first time to buy a new car. I don't want to get screwed but I know everyone has to make a living. Am I being naive if I think I can get a 2009 Hyundai Sonata 6 cyl, sunroof , allow wheels and taxes and title in Texas for $20,000? I just started researching and found this wonderful message forum. Thanks. Appreciate any help I can get.

Replying to: lettterman (May 14, 2008 11:13 am) My sister-in-law is from Vancouver and she has said the same thing, but still thinks it's better than in the States. She now lives in Portland with my Brother and their 2 Daughters. I say no thanks. I'll stick with the plans that are offered by my wife and my employers. At least I get to pick my doctor and get in immediately. No bureaucrat telling me when and where to go to get a heart cath when and if I need it. |
