When a friend of mine was getting serious about buying an Azera abut a year ago, he checked with Key with the salesman he leased his Mercury from. That guy, the one who sometimes writes letters to the CT Post, wanted $3,000 more for an '06 Azera (Key didn't have the '07 Azera a year ago) than he wound up paying for an '07 with Ultimate pkg at Towne.

I forget which town you're in, I'm in Trumbull. But from here to Towne it's only 100 miles...well worth the drive. Key's service department is no problem, as you may know.

When my business bought an '07 Sonata in Feb last year, my brother test drove one from Key in Milford. The sales attitude was a bit better than Bridgeport. The sales man told him that they might be able to go as low as invoice at the end of February. I forget what the rebate was at that time, but we got the car from Towne at $4400 under invoice including dealer discount, rebate & $500 owner loyalty. (It may have been $2K rebate & $dealer price $1900 under invoice).

$13,700 is from this post. I very much want to know the dealer that sold this car so I can see if I may obtain a similar deal. It would be great if someone could explain to me how/why a dealer would sell for $13,700 a $21,095 MSRP new Sonata.

I can't even get the local dealers to go to $16,100 that a NE dealer has advertised. I'm at $16,500 in the Chicago area for a $21,095 Sonata.

I agree...that deal seems unblievable.

Maybe there was a trade-in he didn't mention or maybe it was a "demo." May it was just a fantasic supercalifristic.... freak thing.

Anyway, if it was a clean deal (no trade) and it was as reported...WOW. Can't say anything more.

Just picked up a Deepwater Blue 2008 Sonata Limited w/ sunroof, floor mats, and cargo net. MSRP including optional features was $25,880. Out the door (OTD) total cost was $20440. This was in Virginia.

The local dealer...the fifth largest Hyundai dealer in the country...has only a handful of '08 sonatas left,,,,BUT has almost a hundred '09s in stock.

Wouldn't doubt that with the present credit crises coupled with the fact that so many took advantage of the large rebates with the '08s that the demand for '09s will be on the low side and that Hyundai will then be offering good customer incentives by June.

Was quoted 16700 OTD on a 2008 Sonata today. This doesn't include a popular equipment package. Can I do better?

It would be more clear if you break the price down so people can see how much of that price is tax and license fees.
