I'm pleased with the deal I got; bought the car yesterday from Fuccillo Hyundai in Canoga Park. They were the only dealer with exactly the color I wanted (black w/beige interior)and an excellent price. 2007 Sonata Limited w/Ultimate package price after rebate: $21,200 (less than Cars Direct quote) doc fee: $45 sales tax: $1,876 TTL: $220 total: $23,341 FYI: Fuccillo also has dealerships in NY PH in LA

Replying to: shiwala (Nov 30, 2006 8:19 am) The black interior you saw in the brochures, according to the service manager last night, is for non-leather interior. I don't think that's true since there was no "black non-leather interior" in the brochure, but who knows. Anyways, I think the black interior is nice enough that they will add it to future trims/ exterior colors, perhaps the one that will come out later in 2007. I will try and post some pictures soon of the interior and exterior, for those who haven't seen it yet. You can judge for yourself if it's worth the extra dough/wait for the possibility it may come in different colors. I did like the Silver Blue exterior. The color looked the best IMO. |

So the question is how do you handle deposits? If ordering a specific car that has to come from the manufacturer it is reasonable to put down a small good faith deposit BUT get a signed receipt with a signed statement (from management) that the deposit will be returned if the ordered car is not available in (FILL IN THE BLANK)____ weeks. |

Most every dealer I have ever worked with always accepted my offer of $100 on a CREDIT CARD for the exact reason you stated above. If you ever have a problem getting it back, the credit card company will always make things right. When I have put a deposit down and then changed my mind, when I went back to the dealership, they immediately credited my card and gave me the credit slip. The most I ever put down was $500 and never had any issues there as well. |
