sligg - sri, I've been out of town celebrating our second Thanksgiving meal with the family! Yes, the quote is from Pugi in Downers Grove, IL. The only add on above the figure is tax, title, and license fees. I bought a 2006 Elantra from them on Christmas Eve last year, and plan to do the same thing with th 2007 Sonata Limited this year. I don't live in Downers Grove, rather in Champaign-Urbana, home of the University of Illinois, about 145 miles south. Great dealer, and no "mickey mouse stuff," just good prices and probably the best delivery experience of any new car I've ever purchased.

Take a one-way flight to O'Hare or Chicago Midway out of LGA, EWR, or JFK, and drive your new car home! They would probably pick you up at the airport. Good folks . . .

w9cw,

Your quote from Pugi was $18500. The quote Pugi gave me was $18765. Why do you think there is a $265 difference? I think they also said the doc fee was $53.

Assuming you can get the car for $19000 in NY Metro then it would not be cost effective to fly to Chicago. That's a lot of ifs'.

Perhaps the difference is because I've purchased a Hyundai from them recently - maybe repeat customers get a slightly better deal, I don't know???

If you can get the car in the NY Metro area for $19K - go for it.

Hi,

I am looking for finding out the best price quotes folks got for a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4 cylinder (Base Model) and no additional packages in DFW Metroplex. Can you folks help me with the best price quote you got for this model ? I am open in buying timeframe...in the sense I can wait till end of year 2006 if that is going to make any difference in price.

Thanks
Mike

Have you checked at Freeman Hyundai? They are advertising one on their web site for just under $16,000.00.

Corporate Hyundai just called me to say that the black interior for the Sonata Limited is in production and is now available nationwide.

They also said that I'm eligible to participate in their Associate Purchase Program which allows me to buy the car at $100 above invoice. They would refund the $100 after purchase.

I'm also in the market to buy an '07 Limited in the Bay Area and will hopefully get some quotes this week.

On a different note, has anyone had any experience using DriveOne from CapitalOne? They're showing a price of 21,102 for a Limited w/Ultimate pkg after 1500 rebate but I'm assuming before destination charge and TTL.

Bought a 07 Limited (base + floor mats) last Saturday for 21650 OTD at Doten Hyundai, Richmond. The price could have been improved upon slightly if I were to spend more time which I didn't want to. Fair price, good dealership experience - it's all good...
