I got a quote of 2006 LX + premium + Powder white. Internet selling would not be a problem. But deller at prescott arizona gaves me unfamiliar number.
What would be a nice reply for this deal ? I'm a foreign student and I guess i'm not good at dealing with sales person. Comments would be appreciated !
Sam.

OK, I'll give this a shot, but I bought 4 months ago. First, your MSRP is inflated. Don't look at the ADD-A-TAG©, or Dealer added sticker, as the MSRP on the LX with all options should be $24,495. There might be a slight extra charge for that Powder White.

Right off the bat an email quoting $250 under invoice sounds suspicious. An incredible deal would be true invoice (price it here at Edmunds) minus the current cash incentive of $2500 or $3000, whatever it is now. But wait... there's more!. The Dealer will then attempt to add fees, all sorts of fees.

If you can pick up the LX for Invoice, then subtract the rebate, pay no fees, and just add Sales tax & Registration, you have made a great deal. Good luck, and happy Honeymoon to you!

Good Deal? by mango06

Hey, I just purchased a 2006 Dark Cinnamon with beige interior Sonata LX pkg 3 (sunroof)and added tint, mudguards, trunk liner and cargo net for $20935. Is this a good deal? We went in to purchase the LX without the sunroof but there was none in the color we wanted in the entire Houston area. So, we were given the standard "What would it take to get you in this car tonight?" spill and told them we wanted "e pricing" and all the aftermarket add on's for free. We are in Houston, TX so I am not sure what the pricing is elsewhere.

I am about to purchase a Sonata GLS Deepwater Blue from a dealer here in Michigan and I am wondering if this is a Good Deal. We are settling for $22,700 and I will get back $2500 rebate making my buy 20,200 with tax title license transfer!
Please post response ASAP

That price sounds too high for the GLS model with no options. Did you check the Edmund's True Market Value price for your area? In my area the true market value is $17,995.00 so you might want to check there first before committing yourself to that price.

There are 2300 plus posts, along with the Edmunds pricing Tools that could have saved you at least $2000. I'd say no good deal there

I just joined Inside Line and already I have saved myself $2000 dollars on what could have been a very bad deal. I am elated!

Please explain! First, you say a "good deal" is invoice less the $2500 rebate, no other fees plus taxes. OK, a loaded LX invoice is $22885 - $2500 = $20385. Then you tell a recent buyer who paid just under $21K that the price is about $2K too high! Which is it???...

For the record, here in the San Antonio area, the dealers laugh at you if you offer to buy for $20K OR tell them others are buying for $18.5K-$19K .....

PS I know about your great deal....

I live in San Antonio and ran into the same problem when pricing the GLS model, seems like either the local Hyundai dealers are doing quite well or not willingly to deal. Have noticed that one dealership has them going for $15,888.00 or so (GLS) but last visit they had added a lot of fees to that price and I grew frustrated with them.
