How did you get to $730 holdback? I think it should be around $440 considering invoice price of $22000, and edmunds.com states " 2% holdback for Hyundai".

Dave

I don't where he came up with $730 for the hold back. The math didn't make sense to me either since I had $440 for HB. I accepted since it was a higher amount.
I am based in MA. I have 3 Hyundai dealerships in a 25 mile radius.

Just bought a V6 GLS for $18,400 out the door (that includes all taxes, dealer profit, rebates, etc). Is this a good deal? BTW, I LUVVVVVVVVVVVVVV this car. The best feature are the seats. Never knew seats could be this supportive and yet so COMFORTABLE!!! The power is awesome so I'm willing to pay at the pump. Drove the 4 cyl...it was excellent but after test driving the V6, could not go back to the 4. Neighbor thought I'd bought a Lexus! Ugh, I don't think so. Would never overpay to support some rich Tokyo's exec's Italian vacation. Plus this V6 is made in the good ol' US of A!!!

Hey that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Does it have any options in it besides the basic GLS V6 trim? I ended up buying one too in Michigan for a little under 17400 and 500 bucks less for the second one.

Does anyone know if the manual transmission on a I4 will last longer or if the GLS V6 automatic will last longer interms of the durability of the engine? I wanted a manual transmission badly but I had to settle for what they had in the lot. Let em know if anyone has any ideas.

Hi everyone.

I just bought an '06 LX loaded for 18,245 before tax, title and tags. I love this car. I went to Antwerpen Hyundai on RT 40 in Catonsville, MD and had a very pleasant experience.

Cheers
Eric

Congratulations for discovering the best-kept secret in the world of mid-size autos!

Here is a link I think you will be interested in. It points to an article about what a great value the Sonata is.
