I am having the same problem with the windshield washer fluid not coming out in the cold weather. The reservoir is full and the motor is working. It seems the line is somehow frozen preventing the fluid from coming out. I have a 2005 just purchased in July. Thought I was crazy! Let me know how you made out!

It's a defective washer pump motor. I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the part in about 30 minutes for me.
#920 of 3234 Synthetic Oil

I just took my 2006 Sonata V6 in for the first oil change. I asked the service manager if they could use synthetic oil. He told me that he did not recommend the use of synthetic oil in my car. Does anyone know why he would say that?
It is difficult for me to get to the dealership for oil changes because I work long hours out of town. I figured that I would probably go the full 7,500 miles between oil changes and that synthetic oil might be better for the engine.

#922 of 3234 annoying vibrations

I read some previous posts about the abnormal vibration of the car at idle. My new Sonata GL has some vibrations too, but the difference is that it vibrates when it is moving. I didn't notice it at the beginning when I drove locally, but when I get to the highway, I can feel the steering wheel is vibrating, and I can also feel the vibration coming with my left foot. When the road surface is not good, the vibration is much more obvisous. By touching the steering wheel, you can almost feel the little changes on the road surface. However, when the car stops or is parked, the vibration is nearly unnoticable. The vibration of the steering wheel really makes my hands uncomfortable after a long ride. I never felt such vibration when I drove my old 96 Corolla. Do you GL owners feel such thing with your cars? Thanks.

Sorry, I have been busy lately, and I've been using what little free time I have to get a file together for the BBB. I got another letter from Hyundai a few weeks ago, stating the same old thing, that the vibrations were characteristic of the car. That's why I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Not very confident in a positive outcome, but I'm giving it a shot.
Posted a message here with my email address so you could contact me directly, but I found out we're not allowed to do that, and my message was deleted. So I guess we'll have to keep in touch on this message board.
I was so disgusted when I got the last letter from Hyundai that I wrote a letter to the President and CEO of Hyundai, and I included a VCR tape of my dashboard rattling. I haven't received the courtesy of a reply from him, and if I did, it would probably be full of the same platitudes that I got from the customer service rep. Chances are my letter and tape wound up in a trash can, but I felt better after writing it.
Let me know how the BBB thing worked for you. Mine goes out in tomorrow's mail. Good luck!

Maybe I'm late to this discussion, but what state do you live in. Do they have a lemon law. Here in NJ we have a very good one. I sued and won under ours with a Ford Escape that had less problems with than you, The BBB will only log a complaint and make it public if someone inquires about it. I did everything else you've done but
getting a lawyer was the only way to settle it. Check into it the legal fees are paid by the manufacturer. So there is no risk, if you don't have a case the lawyer won,t take it.

My neighbor bought an '06 Sonata GLS V6. He's had it 6 weeks, and it's been in the shop 4 times to fix 4 different problems, including leaking transmission fluid.
Not very confidence inspiring.

I own an LX not a GL but unless I missed something your description sounds like a straightforward wheel/tire balance issue. There may be a slight engine vibration that you notice when stopped that clouds your diagnosis somewhat. You should get your wheels balanced as a start.
#927 of 3234 Looking for OTD prices for 2006 Sonata LX......Help??

Hi, I am looking to purchase a 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX w/sunroof in the upcoming week. I have test drove and researched the heck out of this car. I am not a good negotiator so I am looking for actual "out the door" prices that have been paid recently for this vehicle. My financing is taken care of and I will only be qualified to get the $1000 rebate for purchasing in the month of March. I would greatly appreciate any actual paid prices to help in my negotiations. Thanks in advance.
