Most likely both of your headlamp bulbs have burned out on the low beam filament but both high beams still work OK. How, you ask, would this happen? Well, I can't tell you how many cars I see with one headlamp out. People do not notice, (or care as long as there is SOME light) or replace the bulb if they do "sorta care" then sooner or later the second bulb goes out and finally only high beams still function. As far as your dash lights coming on in your (dark) parking structure...simply the autolamp feature turning on your headlights (and simultaneously your parking and dash lights) when the sensor detects DARK conditions for a pre-determined length of time. Absolutely positively normal and this is working as designed. Probably replacing both headlamp bulb capsules will restore full lighting. If not, then a trip to the dealer would be warranted.

Hyundai ECU by flhf150

I bought a used 1997 Sonata. The ECU went bad so I got another one. I replaced it and that one smoked at the same place on the circuit board. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or where I can get a wiring schematic that shows what each pin on the ECU is for and what voltage it is supposed to have.

I get most of what I need oil filters, air filters, wiper blades... etc. from ebay. Check the following seller, he has some good deals and free shipping,

car starts hard after putting gas into it by sharring

I have a 2002 Sonata GLS V6 that starts hard after I put gas in it. At first when it is turned over it will not start at all then it will try to start but die. If apply just a bit of pressure on the gas pedal it will at first have a hard time gaining RPMs but then it will run at faster than Idle RPMs. After about 45 seconds it will run fine. This does not happen every time I start the car only when I put fuel in it. If I simply remove the gas cap this does not happen but even if I put just a few gallons of fuel in it, it will. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be? thanks

Dealer says A/C needs service by asher3

My 2007 Sonata has less than 8500 miles on it and is kept in my garage. I recently brought it in for normal service. I have had no problems with the Air Conditioner yet the dealer says I need A/C service, induction service. Wants to change the filter and I don't know what else.........to the tune of over a couple of hundred $$$$ How can this be? What do I look for?

This does not sound necessary - you should look at the service manual and instruct the dealer to do only the items listed. I would even have then SKIP the items that say "inspect". The filter is probably the cabin air filter. Dealers charge a bunch for this $20 filter and the 10 min it takes to replace. Since the car is a 2007, probably does needs changing so unless you have another means to get this done (local mechanic, youtube video, etc) you may not have a choice.
