I have a 2003 GLS and I have had a big problem with my car misfiring. I seem to notice it mostly when I am sitting still like at a stop light. It gets really bad when there is a draw on the engine such as the air conditioner or the heater. It really seems like the car has the hiccups. No problems starting or dying just surging. My mechanic says it is not throwing any codes. He has replace spark plugs twice, spark plug wires, timing belt, water pump, checked the fuel filter which is in the gas tank and he has done just about everything he knows how to find the problem. This car has 98000 miles on it and before I take it to the dealer I wanted to see if anyone has had this problem.

You only have 2,000 miles left on your warranty, so you may want to get in there as soon as possible. I know you were looking for an answer and, unfortunately, all I can tell you is to take it to your dealer. But, hey, you never know, it could be an issue that is covered by your warranty and you won't have to pay a dime! |

Sonata 2006 4cyl any one replaced their own fuel filter, Looking at the Hyundai site you need a special tool around $180 and new gaskets, I have removed the access panel in the trunk and tried to remove but looks a hard job without special tool. Any ideas appreciated.
