I asked for the 30,000 miles checkup because there is a sound that happens on the front side of the car. It only appears when I am close to be fully stopped. So, at the end of the breaking cycle, just before the car immobilize.
The sound is quite strong, like toc toc toc toc...
Anyone has an idea of what it is?

I changed the oil 2 weeks ago.
I didn't see any liquid on the ground. Maybe I should have checked under the hood.
It's like the sound is coming from the front right tire... But all looks good there.

Hi,
I am sure this question has been asked, but is the Hyundai warranty coverage contingent upon getting required routine services done by Hyundai dealer service department or can I have any mechanic of my choosing do the work and document it?
Thanks!

Anyone can do the maintenance. Just keep records and receipts. I believe there is a law that states this.

Also, just called the dealership, and they charge 100$ to diagnostic the problem.
Is it me or this is much too expansive?

I thought maybe it was due to a stone in the tread, but you said the tire looked fine, so must not be that.

It's higher than I've seen before from Hyundai dealerships, but I've seen diagnosis fees in the $80-85 range (Midwest). Did they also tell you they will waive the fee if they find the problem is warranty-related, or will deduct it from the repair bill if you pay for the repair? That is common practice.

Also be sure OEM-spec parts and fluids are used. That is very important.
