Could be the clutch not disengaging fully. When you release the clutch with the engine on when does the clutch start to engage?

immediately it starts to engage..i have this problem only with the 1st gear no problem with any one of them.Like if I shift to 2nd gear initially and shift to first gear,it does not have any problem.

The clutch should not begin to engage if you have only released the peddle a couple of inches. I do not know why second gear is fine and I would expect reverse to be the worst.

I think you have a clutch problem. You might investigate to see if this clutch is in any way adjustable.

I have a 1999 Sonata and all of the power windows stopped working. I checked the fuse and it is still good, could that be the switches?

Sounds like the wire as it goes into the door may be your problem. Does you car have the switch that prevents all the windows from operating other than the driver's window?. See if power is getting to the switches in the driver's door.

Hi,
I just called a hyundai dealership in NY. They told me they would charge 595$ for the 30k maintenance on my Sonata SE V6 2007. Is this excessive?
If anyone in the NY area has better prices, please let me know...

Dealers are adding in a non required fuel injector cleaning. This adds about $200.00 to the cost of the service. Look in your manual and photo copy the required service. Tell them thats all you want.I have had Audi's for 20 years and NEVER had the fuel injectors cleaned. Also, it was not a part of the service.
I suspect since Hyundai service required is so minimal and cheap, many dealers are adding things that you might catorgize as :Nice to do".
Also beware of the cooling system flush many are including at 30k, even thought the manual says "first cooling flush 60k" Maybe that would be valuable, I don't know.
I wish the dealers and Hyundai would get on the same page. Frankly, I have not heard of adding things to the manufaturer required service until I got my azera.

I asked for the 30,000 miles checkup because there is a sound that happens on the front side of the car. It only appears when I am close to be fully stopped. So, at the end of the breaking cycle, just before the car immobilize.
The sound is quite strong, like toc toc toc toc...
Anyone has an idea of what it is?
