Van for sure.

It's not just 6 people, it's 6 people plus all that baby gear.

Lots of 3-row vehicles can seat 6, but not many leave much room left over. Minivans will accomodate the 6 of you and the stroller, port-a-crib, diaper bag, back pack carrier, baby bath tub, tricycle, etc.

Power doors are awesome, so I recommend those. When the kids fall asleep and you have to carry them to bed, you just press a button to close them behind you.

As a class they tend to score well for safety. This 40mph crash test conducted by the IIHS doesn't even penetrate the passenger cabin:

Hi,
I've been using edmunds alot during our current search for a mini van. We're about a month into the process and have narrowed it down to either the Odyssey ex-L or Sienna XLE. I'm getting fairly comparable offers (little lower for the Honda actually) for each but with the Sienna I'd use the 36 month 0% financing.

Welcome, first of all.

Let us know if you have any questions. I have an 07 Sienna LE, but the Ody was a close 2nd choice. At the time of my purchase, the Ody cost a bunch more for what I wanted.

IMHO if you want comfort and isolation, go with the Sienna. If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of road noise and a harder ride, the Ody is more rewarding to drive, sportier and with more steering feedback.

Both are good choices. Toyota's engine sealed the deal for me, though.

If I was the one driving this all the time I'd go with the Toyota without a doubt because of the stronger engine. My wife prefers the ergonomics of the Honda and said she can't tell much difference driving the 2. We'll see what kind of pricing we can get and decide.

2007 Odys were a steal a little while ago, but they may be all gone.

If you can get a deal on the 2008s, go for it.

Back in May of last year an Ody EX was about $1800 more than my similarly equipped Sienna. Actually the Sienna had a tad more content than the Honda.

Toyota changed content levels a bit for 2008 - the tow prep package and DRLs are extra-cost options that were standard on my van.

Definitely shop around. An Odyssey EX has about the same content as a Sienna LE with EVP #2. There are minor differences - Honda has climate control while Toyota has a trip computer at that price.

What is your price range?

2008 Nissan Quest by booper9t4

Hi! I just picked up a Nissan Quest S, and would like to add an aftermarket Nav + Rear Cam system to it.

Where's the best place to get any feedback from other members, or see what others have done in a similar minivan or other vehicles?

Hmm, there is a rear-seat entertainment thread, but it's not very busy.

I would ask in the Quest threads and in the general comparison threads for vans.
