My niece is pregnant with her 3rd child and wants a 4th. She will soon need to buy a larger vehicle to accommodate 3-4 car seats. What type of vehicle would you recommend... SUV? minivan? Something else? I am concerned about safety first then costs (initial and operating). Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Minivans will accomodate the 6 of you and the stroller, port-a-crib, diaper bag, back pack carrier, baby bath tub, tricycle, etc. Power doors are awesome, so I recommend those. When the kids fall asleep and you have to carry them to bed, you just press a button to close them behind you. As a class they tend to score well for safety. This 40mph crash test conducted by the IIHS doesn't even penetrate the passenger cabin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqj2jloxTgc |

Hi, I've been using edmunds alot during our current search for a mini van. We're about a month into the process and have narrowed it down to either the Odyssey ex-L or Sienna XLE. I'm getting fairly comparable offers (little lower for the Honda actually) for each but with the Sienna I'd use the 36 month 0% financing.

At the time of my purchase, the Ody cost a bunch more for what I wanted. IMHO if you want comfort and isolation, go with the Sienna. If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of road noise and a harder ride, the Ody is more rewarding to drive, sportier and with more steering feedback. Both are good choices. Toyota's engine sealed the deal for me, though.

Actually the Sienna had a tad more content than the Honda. Toyota changed content levels a bit for 2008 - the tow prep package and DRLs are extra-cost options that were standard on my van. Definitely shop around. An Odyssey EX has about the same content as a Sienna LE with EVP #2. There are minor differences - Honda has climate control while Toyota has a trip computer at that price. What is your price range? |

Hi! I just picked up a Nissan Quest S, and would like to add an aftermarket Nav + Rear Cam system to it. Where's the best place to get any feedback from other members, or see what others have done in a similar minivan or other vehicles?
