Hi everybody I'm Dag, currently living in Bodoe, North Norway. I have been the happy, and sometimes not so happy owner of a 92 model Astro AWD since 1996. My wife and our 3 kids love the space and comfort of this 7-seater vehicle. However, age takes its toll, which means that there are things that need to be mended (quite a few things, actually). I have started out with a climate control problem posted in that forum on here. |

Hi. I'm new to the boards and I'd like to get some info comparing the two minivans Odyssey & Sienna. My main issue is that I feel the AWD is important, but anyone at Honda has a reason for why it's not necessary and they are better. Don't know which board would be best for asking such questions. Thanks for the help!

The AWD Sienna is nice because it comes well equipped from the get-go. Even a base LE AWD model has stability control and 17" alloys, one power door, 6CD, etc. The catch? You cannot get the 8 passenger model with AWD. Also, AWD forces you into run-flat tires, because the driveshaft that goes to the rear axle goes right through where the spare would have been. |

Hi! I'm glad I stumbled on this forum. A recent addition to the family has caused us to think about getting a minivan. We've always bought used import cars (Toyota, Mazda, Hundai) and so you can imagine our reluctance at looking at American/new cars. We are currently considering the Honda Ody, Sienna and the Entourage. 2005+ models. Any suggestions, thoughts and advice would be gladly welcomed. I look forward to reading the other posts as well. Cheers, sherylann

I have an 07 and recommend it highly. The Ody is also a good choice. Drive them, the Sienna is a bit quieter and softer, while the Ody handles a bit better. I think you'll develop a preference right away. We opted for the quiet ride of the Toyota, our own preference. You get a lot of value with the Entourage, just make sure you get a good price and that you like it, because resale values are not strong. Otherwise they offer good bang for the buck. There are minivan threads to discuss more specifics, just be ready to hear every opinion that may come. The 2008 Minivan discussion, for instance, has been hotly debated recently.
