I can't decide if I should get the 3M clear bra for the front end of my car. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

MacNeil Auto has grey all season mats (2 styles) and cargo liners. I've had good success with them in my other vehicles.

I was going to purchase them for my 08 CR-V with grey leather, but dealer suprised me by including Honda's mats in black. They look fine with that interior. I'll see how they wear, and if not happy will get a set from MacNeil (www.mats.com)

I had a competive product installed on the front bumper cover and painted portion of the grill on my 08 EX-L: Llumar film. Great installation, can't tell there is anything over the paint! I chose not to have the hood done, since it was only partial coverage, and I knew that overt time I would begin to see the seam on the hood (e.g., wax buildup along the edge). Since I'm going to dinghy-tow the CR-V behind our motorhome I wanted a little extra protection on the front surfaces against road debris kicked up during towing.

BTW, my motorhome does have the 3M film on the front and I've been pleased with that too.

I am looking for the CRV Body Side Molding, the lower price I got is $167.31 + shipping, I think it still expensive for four pieces plastic, anyone find a lowest price from somewhere or any other replacement, please let me know. Thank you.

I agree that the price seems expensive (I paid a bit more) but I wouldn't drive around without them. It'll definitely pay off in the long run saving $$ on door dings from inconsiderate others.
I also like the "lines" the molding gives to the CRV.

three quick things, the 167.31 for the side moldings is about all the cheaper you are going to find them, they come painted it the main reason they are more spendy; I work at a dealer and paid about 175inc install for mine. our CR-V is Tango Red/Gray and the black all weather mats look fine. (I cried about not haveing gray avail. too, but they really do look okay. the clear bra from 3M is the better of the two ways to go about protecting the paint, but in the end we have found them to be more pain than gain... if they don't do a great job in application, you will see finger prints under the tape, and if its a little too thick, the UV block factor make for un even paint color fade in a staight line, and as the car ages the protection becomes more visable... the next best (if you like the way it looks it the Honda "bug shield" they do a really go job protecting the hood. I would bother protecting the bumper cover; its plastic, and to get one re-painted is a few hundred$ and they are never going to rust even if they do get chipped. just my 2 cents.

iPOD integration for Gen 2.5 by blueiedgod

Bought the Honda iPOD integration unit from Crutchfield.

Installation was a breeze.

Remove the bezel

Remove Radio

Unplug the old XM cable

Plug the new cable with piggyback connector.

Mount the unit on the passenger side of the glove box.

Run the iPOD cable through the back of the cubby under the radio

And you are done!!!

The unit allows you to control the iPOD through the stock steering wheel controls on the EX and SE, and from the radio on all models.

If anyone is interested, I have $20 off first purchase code.

Automatic door lock on 02 CRV? by pt95148

I read through this forum and can see that it is a configuration option for later models and am wondering if this is possible for an 02 CRV?

By this I mean the door automatic locks either when D is engaged or above certain speed.

Has anyone done it and if so how?
TIA

Not an option for Gen 2.

found this thread by searching floor mats in msn. i'm gonna have to agree with phisher on your question. beige floormats seems to look better than the black ones in my cousin's CRV. she went with the husky crv floor mats instead of the usual weathertechs that many people get. so far liked them. which one did you wind up going with?
