And when I read this yesterday I called up the salesman who took care of me and he said you must have misunderstood as the $2000 rebate comes off the $16,900. And also, they would have knocked the price down to $16000 and then taken off the $2000 if you had gone there in person. Hey....what do I know.... we got 2 for $14000. And evidently you didn't pay attention to them. And they are offering the rebate. I don't know who you spoke to but you didn't speak to the right person. If you had posted Suresky said the price was higher then what I quoted I would have called my salesman up and asked him if true. I know what they are offering as I live local and don't have to call from another state.

hello, im new to the forum and doing some car shopping. i need a basic car for commuting and im trying to get the most car for the dollar. the elantra is one of my candidates. i this from Maxon Hyundai-Mazda (in NJ): "The 2008 Hyundai Elantra SE, MSRP is $17,845, Invoice is $17,297 You can puchase this car for $15,297. Includes $1,500 rebate. . (includes destination)" is this a good deal? any differences between an 08 and 09? im paying cash and hoping to get a car by the end of the month. thanks for reading!
